Rip Boogie. I’m pretty sure I met both you and Boogie at a rooming house in Ocean Grove my friend Danny Ressa was staying at. I think Boggie was superintendent or something there. This was late 90’s sometime.
This is the Man 😃 sang it in Newark NJ nursing home 🏘️ in east orange NJ Park Ave EO NJ nursing home Dan the Man Tortortello sang it and all of the time from 1962 &1970 love 💕 Doo Woo live on
one of the unique aspects of the 50's music style was the enhancement accent that the falcetto tenor and strong bass added to the presentation. Great sound that you could find on every street corner when I was growing up.
Surprised they are really that good....I'm 81.... I remember.... N.Y. Boy....Power Memorial Academy...That was Not an easy song to harmonize....As I remember Leslie Cucci in my class of '61 from Brooklyn a Golden voice. when he did Cherrie not Sherie Baby...but real doo op....Nice job guys
I'm lovin this, especially finding places with an echo. I'm from the Bronx, the only female who sang 1st tenor with the guys. We lived for it, day and night. Keep it up guys, you sound great. Harmony is wonderful. Love the Bass, very pure tones.
I'm gonna have to start smoking, to be as good of a bass singer as this man! They're ALL just fantastic! Timing, voice clarity and harmony is impeccable. Thanks guys. It was very enjoyable.
Leaving my office tonight listening to XM I remember this song and replayed it about 10 times. I wanted to hear it on You Tube. You guys did a terrific job.
