When Jordan sings..he's so good that I get so emotional and this song is no exception. He truly has a gift given by God.
That “piano guy” is the mastermind and arranger of not just this song but the whole album/concert. His name is Tommee Profitt, and he’s also the producer for all of NF’s music.
Sure, but the true mastermind is Mark Lowry for giving us this song by writing it and, by extension, his (and my) Master 😊
Way to discount all the vocalist And musicians who brought his vision to fruition.
@@fcturner I mean, I was specifically referring to the concert (and before that the album) that this performance is from. Tommee set out to create an album of Christmas songs with the goal of making it sound like an epic movie soundtrack for the story of Christ’s birth. Mostly I was pointing out that Tommee is a lot more than just the “piano guy” when it comes to this video, and that there’s a lot more awesomeness for Tara to react to from just this concert alone if she’s interested. 🤷🏻♀️ But sure, let’s go ahead and act like my giving Tommee props automatically discounts everyone else involved. 🙄😂

When Jordan Smith sang on The Voice, my daughter and I agreed that this was one of the few times that the contestant was more talented than the pro coaches. That he won was no surprise! I'm glad to see that he is still showing that great talent and blessing his audiences because so many talent show contestants shine and then fade away.
My Daughter took piano with him in high school, she said when he would sing everyone would stop what they were doing and listen, I have met his mother and she is the sweetest lady.
I hope people don't lose the message of the song he's singing. Well done Jordan.

This dude is easily one of the best singers going. His tone is phenomenal
JORDAN'S voice and performance IS TRULY the GREATEST of all time. NO ONE CAN DO THIS type performance with that powerful, angel voice but Jordan and he makes it like he's relaxed and IT'S DONE effortless.

The "piano guy" is Tommee Profitt. Concert and album conceptualizer, producer, arrangement, pianist, Birth of a King. The entire body of talent contributions in this concert was nothing less than gold standard. Yes, pretty cool fit as well. Jordan Smith was spectacular.
I watched all of his performances on the Voice , I consider him the best they've ever had.

By far one of my fav ever Voice winners. I regularly rewatch his voice journey in awe. My fav bit s pharrells face when he sings set fire to the rain. It is just one of utter disbelief that he is as good as he is. Phenomenal singer.

Jordan Smith has a strong voice! He did an outstanding job with this song. Mary J Blige sung this song on her Christmas CD and she did an outstanding job also! Not too many artist do a good job with this song, but he did! I would love to hear Tara do a cover to this song! I know she would do an outstanding job!

I've seen him in concert with Amy Grant. And I can tell you I had goosebumps and chills through my whole entire body. His voice is so amazing in person. It is the most beautiful voice I have ever personally heard. I truly recommend that anyone to go hear him live.

For me, Jordan is one of the most gifted winners of the Voice, he has the voice.

Jordan has a soft voice, but it is so smoooooooth.
I saw him a lot when he was at University. He sang at my barbershop chorus's Christmas shows BEFORE he got famous. His solo cost us not that much.....:) He's done all right now for a music career!
Before I even watch this, let me answer your question. Yes, Jordan Smith is the GOAT of the Voice. He did this song on it as well. You would have a very good experience checking out all the songs he did there, if you have not already.

This is one of my favorite Christmas songs. I am literally crying right now. Pentatonic's version is a distant second in comparison.

He does a great rendition. If you have not seen Danny Gokeys rendition live acoustic version, it is fantastic. Please check it out as well.
It’s beautiful!! I am partial to Spoken’s version though, my favorite forever. It has a rock edge to it.
I swear to God, I watched his season every week, religiously, and from his first audition, I looked over at my dad, and I was absolutely freaking out. I swore to my dad that I didn't even have to hear the rest of the contestants because I already knew from his Chandelier performance that he'd be the winner. Sure enough, he won.
On another note, I'm not sure why I struggled with my head voice before my transition. Once I started HRT and my voice settled in the baritone register, I discovered my mixed register. As an alto 2, I didn't have one. I think it also helped me significantly that throughout my entire voice change from the Testosterone, I stretched my voice with vocal exercises, singing various songs that challenged my range, and still stay committed to that process 8 years later. On a good day, my range has probably doubled from what it used to be because not only has my voice gained a much deeper range, I've also been able to keep my previous range of an alto 2 while using my head voice. It's wild.
