As far as I remember from the Greta & Hams story I was told The father would be the one leaving the house to buy food, hunt, etc The mom would then abse the kids while the father was away And after she kicked the kids, when the father comes back she says that they just fled on their own And when they come back through bread crumbs, the father kicks the mother out, which in turn enables them to have enough food to feed themselves without her
I always love silly endings that just break the original mood, especially when done right. (At least, done great, like this.) Also, yeah, I love how detailed that home scene was. And the closing of the closet and cutting back into music.
2:02 I love all of you guys. Well done. I’m proud 11:54 “I think this one’s clear. I think this one’s haunted” 20:37 “I think it’s clear. I think it’s haunted” 24:09 This is actually amazing I love it 33:43 “This one seems clear in like, every way” /giggles in the distance/ 1:06:45 I love everything about this
So, funny story: I decided I'll play this one and when I came up to the first cabin, I thought "weird, can't interact with the door, I guess I'll look in through the window and listen?". I got to 4/8 points before deciding there's got to be more to it than big teddybears and stuff, then finding out you have to shove your body at the door. I immediately got the basement bathroom sequence after that.
The gimmick of you reviewing haunted cabins that are made to look scary, lets them be more creative, by making the hauntedness more restricted. The fact that all hauntings involve strictly movement, allows non-haunted ones to be interesting as well.
This was amazing, like I could do this over and over with different fairytales :D Short, cool scares, nice atmosphere in the cabin, little twist on the original story, loved it!
This was intriguing as fook. I'm usually busy during these streams but oh my I was staring at this, ready for the moments, ESPECIALLY when you went back to "face" everyone. Truly an experience. I LOVE indie horror games, and games like this need this shoutout!
If Insym earned a nickel for every time he says "I think it's clear!-I think it's haunted." he'd have 2 nickels. This game has such great scares!! The lore is fine, too, and I love how it wraps itself up (that ending is *CHEFS KISS*)
I had a blast with this! I love how we are seeing new versions of like Exit 8 games fleshing out there own theme/genre like Dollmare, I'm intrigued to see what other games will be developed.
You should get some indie gaming newsletters. There’s always a lot of cool ideas floating around that could benefit a lot from your kind of enthusiasm and support.
honestly impressed. I've seen shorts from this game, but wanted to wait for you to play it. the amount of content surprised me and the little tease after your first round was well done!
Glad I wasn't the only one caught with that one being the last one I was missing as well. Thanks again as always for showcasing amazing games. You'd think I'd get suggestions of games like this since I enjoy them but whatever runs the choice of game suggestions keeps giving me mainstream all the time. Keep up the good work.
Good morning~ Here are your jumpscare warnings! (a lot of these at the beginning are visual or sound only) 2:05 (headphone warning) ((think this took years off Insym's life expectancy)) 8:24 (just sound) 9:00 10:02 10:31 (visual) 11:56 13:23 14:02 20:49 30:38 31:24 (headphone warning) 33:50 36:03 (be warned, this one goes on for a few more seconds till around 36:13) 42:25 42:40 1:01:58
The old woman you play as is actually the little girl in the cabin who escaped with her brother That's why you see yourself hiding behind the poles, afraid of being seen by yourself. Your goal is to piece together the events and overcome your trauma. Evidence of this trauma is the cabin existing in her closet.
As someone who is currently creating a game in Unreal, Unreal can be a real pain. It is so hard to keep the graphics not too much as then it won't be compatible for most computers as its too high and hard on the processor. The main problem of this is lighting, for some reason, lumen (the lighting) heavily affects the performance of the game. My game so far looks decent but it can't run higher than 50 FPS 😭
It's dynamic lighting specifically that's the issue, because it has to be recalculated for every frame. Most game engines offer a feature to bake lighting, making it part of the level textures at compile time - much, much faster, but it has its own set of restrictions (like ballooning file sizes if you have multiple different toggled lights).
@KingBowserLP Yeah, you explained it so much better than me and I have tried baking my lighting for a level, just to test it out but I had a problem with it, for some reason the baking thing isn't happy that I have HLODs (basically all of my assests) on my level and wouldn't fully do it and kept some of my static lighting as "preview" printed on it which took away the emersion for me and most likely the viewers. So it seems for me I might just have to use lumen.
Family dying in the housefire was because you failed the house before. You marked it as not haunted and then it got sent to someone and they died. It's your fault 😂
@18:50 Right-click to run/sprint is common in gacha games like Genshin Impact at least. It's definitely becoming a new norm for games that don't want right-click to do something else specific, the same way WASD movement went from obscure to the standard.
18:52 Idk if the right click to run is the norm in Asian countries for certain, but in White Day (the original 2005 one or w/e), a Korean game, you can also right click to run by default!
i saw a instagram video of someone playing this earlier and i was like "oh i sure hope insym plays this!" and low and behold he does! i clicked so fast and it was a great video and game of course
Anyone else get SCP (annie go home) vibes from this game? Like it sounds like replication and amnestics to me Great game and looking forward to seeing what they do for continuation of this. (Thank you Insym for your great work as always!)
Really smart playthrough. Only manbadasshero played with similar patience, and intelligence. A lot of streamers don't read the instructions then get mad about it.
This guy was hardly intelligent, walking right up to every danger, looking behind him while being chased (jesus, so annoying), and not getting basic things.
@@WitchKing-Of-Angmar dude just have fun.. walking right up to the danger might not be a good idea but this is a game and we're here to chill not to do everything "perfect" .. if you find it annoying just watch something else.. I would suggest you to watch a hardcore gamer who does other things like speedrun.. no emotion streams.. analysis of what went wrong etc etc.. Ik you would like those 😂
I can’t watch the video without being uncomfortable. This game is so creepy, I could only play it with like three other people sitting right next to me and having like a casual conversation with me.
Ok when the house was upside down I felt kinda safe… until I saw the frog (who was not responsible for any major scare yet) sitting on the ground being the only object that I would hate if it came to life, and that means much because I have played goat simulator three and peel is now everywhere
other then how to get the confront achievements, just because I didn't know if they meant literally or not I did it myself first time, I got all the anomolies :> It was the two moving objects that were my third to last, and second to last, the last one was the upstairs maze, as I kept failing to sneak past.
so um... pretty sure that "tape" recording you heard wasn't actually a tape recording but instead a radio telling you what happened to the family you sold the house to 💀
honestly most games look different on the same engine is mostly artistic intent and planned user constraints. you wont expect a battle royale game designed to be playable by a smartphone to look as good as a indoor only, relatively few object spaces. There's obvious skill required to add techniques required to make a super realistic space but most companies have that expertise. The only remaining thing that shows the care is how much effort a company wants to optimize their game when it comes to large scale settings but theres a limit to it. Hundreds of thousands of dollars to make the game .5% prettier is likely not a worthwhile thing to do.
Love the "i think its clear! ... i think it's haunted" LMFAO
Best moment of the video for sure.
Bro the way I jumped 😂😭
Bro somehow did it twice 😭

Specially Insym’s face trying to process what was happening
Insym: Cabin's haunted...
Chat: What?
Insym: (cocks gun) Cabin's haunted!

best of all, every cabin comes with a built-in buddy to share breakfast, lunch and dinner with!

14:06..... Insym, TF DID YOU TURN AROUND FOR. scared the *** outta me.
Lol typical Insym, if he’s getting chased he HAS to look behind him to see whats going on
I damn near choked on my dinner on that first jumpscare lmao
This game is amazing! The lore, the creepiness (if thats a word lmao), the emotions, everything! 10/10 can't wait for the next one!
3:40 thats called kifli in my country. very different from croissant in texture wise.
I watched 3 diff content creators play this game, I appreciate how Insym played through this. Actually looking through all the scenarios
The green frog is in the apartment of adult Gretta. Shutting the log cabin door is closing the memory.
honestly impressed. I've seen shorts from this game, but wanted to wait for you to play it. the amount of content surprised me and the little tease after your first round was well done!
This was a lot of fun watching you play this game your reaction cracked me up especially when they were chasing you lol
That game's story is definitely inspired from "Hansel & Gratel" Before they met "The Witch" part......
the jumpscares surprised me lol 🤣
The grandma model reminds me of the grandma psychic Elise from the Insidious series, really love that series and the vid as always
That apartment layout is so eerily similar to my apartment layout it scared me for a second
The fire being allowed to move keeps throwing me off. :P That fire in the fireplace should be still

The women looks exactly like Countess Elizabeth Bathory from the film Stay Alive!
48:29 Lost in Vivo is a great example.. the textures are pixels but the lighting is top tier

Always watched you while eating, before I sleep and just when I’m bored. Favorite UA-camr and i feel comfortable always tuning in.
Perfect hunts ! oh , ... i mean perfect timing !
This was terrifying! Normally not phased much anymore by horror games but this had me hiding in the comments. 😂😂
42:23 least obvious poltergeist ability
This is a fantastic game. Its like playing through Insidious. I've not been this scared watching a horror game in a really long time.

just had to drop in and say that youre by far my favorite streamer. love your spooky content so much. team insym 💯
I saw the game like "I wonder if insym would play this.." and there you are! delivering!
2:52 Why is there already bird poop on the cabin?
54:25 They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but that one was worth a thousand nightmares.

I'd love to see Insym's screencap collection.

Oh yay! I saw this game on Twitter and was hoping Insym would play it
My Gawd... Everyone I've seen play this has missed the cup 😂 except Fooster 😂
there is a few that are subtle, but not super subtle, like stuff moving slow enough if you don't look at it long enough you might miss.

The sounds of this game are incredibly creepy. I’m not even looking at the screen and I’m really scared.
I can not get enough of this game. So good 👍
Just wanted to take second to thank you for making content for us ❤
The style of the story events in this game remind me a lot of the ones in Mortuary Assistant.
Ahhh so glad you played this game !!!
This is scary!!! I can’t fall asleep to this! 😂 love it though!
This reminds me of the that's not my neighbor game, but incredibly different at the same time (graphics, 3d aspect etc)
I want more of the family dancing.
I love how Insym is always asking "are you grandma" and now he gets to be grandma 😂
25 seconds ago is crazy work
you would think that people would pay MORE money for a haunted cabin in this day and age! Think about the marketing!
I swear like 90% of these cabins were haunted. This company sucks at not making haunted cabins smh.
Insym, you are awesome. ❤
I’m on my break at work and 10:32 got me so bad that my fight or flight kicked in and I quickly held my fist up😭 luckily no one else is here rn

the whole 24:00 until the new game had me dying with all the twists XD
*sees lady walking towards him in the basement* Me: hmm ahh *Lady speeds up* Me: Ahhh… *turns to see lady right behind him * Me: AYE AHHHH!
Holy crap, that first jump scare made me toss my tablet lol
sometimes for pictures there 3d models behind the frame, it might not be a picture but a model of the lady in the frame

Was so good ! ❤
Ahh. So that’s how the back room started. Lol random guy, hazmat suit.

I'm gonna have nightmares watching this at 2am..
Been looking at theis game not sure whether to get it or not. And i will get it!
took me a few watches to realize that the old lady you’re playing as is Greta… the girl in the cabin

The premise is that they build log cabins as set-pieces for movies or museums and such. Shouldn't they all be different then?
Why was the ending like you were in the Backrooms?
