Otay Lakes, where they are picking up that water, have some huge catfish in them. Having all the brush burned off like that makes it more difficult for the drug smugglers to get across the border without being seen.
Again with the fire, is California ever going to stop catching on fire. It would have been easier and cheaper to have crews clearing old brush and shrubs to allow for new growth and less potential fuel for fires
the state is doomed to get smacked with the lesson repeatedly until people accept that fires need to happen. think this is the border fire, which there are plenty of each year.
The footage going out of focus on the planes was driving me buggy…I can only imagine what the photographers were going thru in real time! Great footage even if the cameras were fighting you 😉
I hate to damage the environment, but an airport would fit nicely on Otay Mountain, with wider roads going to it. My other airport site is 2-miles west of Ocean Beach with I-8, SR-52 (tunnel under La Jolla and undersea) and rail extended. Add some artificial islands, sea lion habitat, hotels, campsites, etc. Good luck with that.
This fire is in San Diego, 100 miles south of LA. We have better water management. Reservoirs are mostly full, not like LA, of course they have 5x as many people.

We are all sinners God could not let any of us unholy sinners into Heaven except for the fact that Christ came to the earth lived a perfect sinless life even though he was tempted in all ways as we are but without sin. If we can put our faith alone in Christ alone we can receive his imputed righteousness and forgiveness that is our only path he said our righteousness is filthy rags and by the deeds of the law no flesh shall be justified it is only by faith. If we put our faith alone in Christ alone God will grant us salvation and when God looks at us we will be covered with the blood of Christ and the righteousness of Christ and that is the only way a thrice Holy God can let us unholy ppl into Heaven. God turned from the Jews his chosen ppl because they thought they could receive salvation by keeping the law so God turned to the gentiles. If we seek salvation by any other means then faith we will be cut off. We have nothing to offer God. God said I came to call the unrighteous and the sinner not the one who is good. The one who is good doesnt need a savior. To come to Christ you must realize that we are ungodly with nothing to offer and desperately cry out for the mercy only he can give us. Thats why he said blessed are the poor in spirit theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven not someone who thinks they have anything to offer to God. When Jesus died on the cross he proclaimed IT IS FINISHED perfectly perfect completely complete. Thinking works can earn salvation is saying Christ perfect work on the cross is not enough. Adding to the Holy bible and following unholy man is saying Christ is not enough. Repent and believe the true gospel of Jesus Christ before its too late
I've seen those drops at least a few times with other fires, but not in person. REALLY AMAZING. Highly trained and talented pilots.
Don't forget about us the helicopter mechanics that keep those helicopters flying which makes those helicopters pilots look awesome.
Also the fuel truck drivers. With out fuel, that ship just sits there.
