I played it Coop 2-players so far and it's really a blast! There's no social deduction obviously but the tension is still very much there as you don't know which of your characters are The Thing. I would totally recommend trying the game out as it is easily one of my favorites.
I did not back this game because I have no faith that the solo mode would be a worthwhile experience. If proven wrong, I will then gladly pick it up..
The solo (to 3 players) mode seems to be vastly different to the game proper. Not tried it out yet but it looks like an interesting puzzle.
