This guy has one of the best "who do you think you are" reveals of all time. If you don't know it's a show where celebrities explore their heritage and family tree. They put the spoiler rigth in the thumbnail though, if you search for it on youtube, but still a good watch.

Danny Dyer is an actor that plays the usual part, London working class man.
Also he participated an ancestor show and the researchers found he is a direct descendant of King Edward the Third.
It is not as uncommon as you may think. Geneticists have found evidence that they say shows that everyone of European descent alive today share enough DNA to suggest they all have a very large set of ancestors from up to 1,000 years ago. There are likely to be many people - perhaps millions - who are descended from European royalty.
In fact, he is related to King's from Edward third right back to William the Conqueror and also Thomas Cromwell who was Henry the Eights right hand man

I've always loved Danny Dyer. There was a time when people would always dog on him/make fun of him but I never understood it, he always came across as such a likeable, self aware guy to me. There was even a time when Frankie Boyle was constantly shtting on him for no real reason other than to be 'shocking'.

Lie, if he had £1000 and buried it, he's got the problem that the £20 note has changed and the old note is no longer legal tender. So his first job would be to walk into a bank and change the money, whilst he's on the run!
That puts him on camera and reportable for a large sum of old money being exchanged. Nobody walks around with a grand (1000) of old money. Unless it's a stash put by long ago, and that highlights him, and pinpoints his position pretty quickly.
£1,000 is too little to be useful. It may help for a few days, but it would be gone in a week.
With GPS it's simple to identify a location. In the USA you have deserts for cryin out loud, it's easy in vast expanses where there are no landmarks, never mind people. Your biggest problem is if the currency changes. What do you do? You bury gold, silver, platinum any asset worth something long-term, you don't bury currency.

I don't want to contribute to Nock's future delinquency, but if you are planning a life of crime, make a bank account under a fake name and stash the money there. Never connect the account to you in any way. When the time comes, you can get it from an ATM, no shovel required.
Unfortunately you need an address to open a bank account at the very least, even with a fake name, which will be traceable
