  • A nighttime departure out of Vancouver International Airport aboard an Air Canada 777-300ER bound for London Heathrow Airport on Sunday 16th February 2020.
First and foremost, apologies about the shakiness of the video when those GE90s kicked into life. I didn't realise until afterwards but I had the phone pressed against the window, which I don't like doing, and it ended up getting mashed on engine start.
A relatively smooth run back across the Pond, and joy of joys I had an empty row to myself - never had one on long-haul flights so happy days! Crew were a little scarce with drinks, but as most people were sleeping anyway I didn't mind that. Especially as, with my empty row, I could just get up and go to the galley at my leisure.
I also had a new IFE screen layout on this flight, compared to the flight out. I liked it and thought it was crisp, though there will be some critics I'm sure...
