Autocar ACX - Heil DuraPack 7000 Garbage Truck

Happy Holidays! Next up from my summer trip to Utah is this gorgeous Autocar ACX with a Heil DuraPack 7000 automated side load body, run by Republic Services of Pleasant Grove! What made this truck stand out in particular was that it was still sporting the Allied Waste logo, at least on the curbside of the truck, and was one of the only trucks we spotted in Utah that was still running it. I'm sure by now, it's running the standard Republic logos, as you can see that the street side "AW" logo had already been stripped off. As always, I hope you all enjoy the footage!

Haven't watched this video in a while. I love this truck, I hate those canopies they started putting on Durapack bodies. I mean they keep the stuff from blowing around but they get in the way for everything else...and they don't really help that much for keeping stuff from blowing out.

I will wonder for the rest of my days why Heil discontinued their most reliable automated system ever. Best system from a maintenance standpoint and everything.

Nice seeing another Republic 7000, as rare as they are. Seemed like the driver was unfazed by the carts tipping over haha, glad to see that the truck was pretty speedy.

Nice seeing Allied Waste having the formula 7000 on a newer chassis out in Utah. It's just like Torrance here in California having a formula 7000 on a 2014 Peterbilt.

I agree and I happen to witness one of those trucks except the body itself was sitting atop a Mack mr chassis on recycling last year when I was in high school and yes I am now a senior at the high school.

This is such a cool truck. I wish Allied and Republic never merged. Allied was unique, especially with their Toter carts instead of Ottos and Rehrigs republic buys. Before the merger, consolidated and other republic brands such as Briggeman and Disposal weren’t ruined. My question is though, why hasn’t republic ruined rainbow yet.
