Most Thai homes do not have Western or European style kitchen. With all the spices and heat, most do it outside like outdoor kitchen/stove. Hot plates are popular as well. Most Thai eat out or take away because it is cheaper with abundance of food everywhere. That's the culture, we don't live in the kitchen like Western families.
Is it possible for a non-Thai to purchase these properties (with small plots of land)? I was under the impression that non-Thai's could only purchase condos that had no land attached. I'm currently in the process of getting my passport together, and would like to eventually purchase property in your amazing country. A villa sounds perfect!
I am not sure but I have heard that if you set up a business there you can buy under a company name. I suggest you get better legal advice on that. Probably better to rent first and find an area you would like to purchase in if you plan to live in the property
@@jamesgowing3856 Thanks for the response. I have seen a couple Jett Gunther videos, he seems to have a grasp on the new laws & visa options. I just think its irresponsible for this realtor to call themselves "Farang Homes" if a Farang (foreigner) can't even purchase it. A brief disclaimer should be included.
No house for you. If you hsve thai wife you can buy land in her name, build house in yours. Or condo with certain rules less strict. Lease a house is safe.
@@Valen-xu2wy haha theres always a house nazzi in the bunch... I remember someone else mentioning leases, gonna have to check out the time frames. Thanks for the nudge!
It's interesting how many of the Asian houses have a somewhat nice exterior mixed with a very jumbled, mismatched and cheesy interior. Hehe. But the value is so great that it would be easy to buy the house and "fix" the interior. I would love to retire in Thailand!
I know this is Thailand, but ANSI which categorize a bedroom needing to have a outside window and a closet. 2nd bedroom doesn't have an exterior window. The 3rd bedroom should be removed to extend the kitchen or make it a dining area. This can be done by removing the interior door, window, and wall of that bedroom.
Only one bathroom for a three-bedroom house??? NO THANK YOU! The master bedroom should have an ensuite bathroom. Could you imagine everyone waking at the same time and all wanting to take a dump?
No. You can't buy land in Thailand as a Farang. You can buy condo's outright freehold in your name, but to buy one of these places you have to jump through hoops and you would never own the land only the building on the land, and you'd have to lease it for a certain period of time in a thai persons name. so you'd never have the full security of owning the property and the house.
the neighbors would be getting a daily view... not sure, I want to wake up going commando and seeing all my neighbors, first thing. Now, if that entrance/exit was facing a beach...... Different story.
Just remember the coast of the house is just the beginning electricity is expensive the weather is humid and hot plus you might need to pay an hoa fee and who knows what other tax fees .
Technically NO but there are ways around it. For example, ownership through your Thai wife or trustworthy Thai girlfriend or through a lifetime lease or through a Thai business (foreigners can only be 49% owner. Other 51% must be a Thai citizen). Either marry a Thai wife or just buy a condominium. The condo is the less risky option.
You know🤔, these houses are beautiful but if you buy as an investment property what's with the 49%? An obligatory partner?😅. You guys are hustlers and I say that in a positive way😊
You’re buying a peck of trouble with a Thai built house . From certain plumbing problems to inept and even dangerously ungrounded electrical work you will also be in a pickle if you ever need to sell. Expats will be your only buyers as Thais prefer buying new or off plan. It’s ALWAYS better to rent as an expat in Thailand .

Very nice home very beautiful real estate agent
Nice home but no room to store clothes in any of the bedrooms, two bedroom with storage space would have been better
Every two or three bedroom house should come with an additional toilet.
If you buy this you can start directly rebuilding it for the comfort you need daily... storage, kitchen, etc..😉
I'd love to come home to that every day. The house ain't bad either.
Beautiful presentation!

I quess it is intended only for two-week summer vacation. It is still much better than a tent or cabin.
The key word in what you said was (American) National Standards Institute - Not Thai code or regulations
very good video ! and what a nice home !

3 bedrooms for $47,000? ??????
That's a steal. The house is solid.
Nice place for small pockets, if you have good neighbours not a bad place to be living.
Nice house in Thailand. Can USA people buy house at Thailand.
Do you come with the house?
great value for money.
When farang buy these properties, do they actually fully own them including land it's built on? How does ownership work for farang basically..
No. You can't buy land in Thailand as a Farang. That size it should be a 2 bedroom not a 3 bedroom.

Yeah cause you could never knock out a wall of first and second bedroom 🙄🤦

How a foreigner can buy property?

Can non thai citizens own a town home in thai?
Yes, just not the land, you sign a contract for 30 years and can be extended for 90 years
