Hey Wes I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this walk-through with KYC. I received my invite and I thought I had done it properly. Watching your video helped me to correct my error. Now all is good and I'm waiting for the validator to review my application.
Ask Pi founders how to move your pi to a new phone a nd number. Cannot recieve sms on old number only on email. No support from Pi. Zero. All, except three of my security circle have lost all pi in moving to a new number. Why dont they post a video to help people. Or is it part of the plan. You're a big advocate for them. People change and upgrade all the time. Any comment or advice?
I got my pop up yesterday. I almost 💭 it was a mistake because it just kind of flashed on and then disappeared. And that's when I went to Pi Browser and saw that it was actually happening. I was verified very quickly. Then went ahead and became a validator. I ended up doing 14 validations yesterday. So anyways, I'm very excited that this process finally feels like it's moving along. Thanks to everyone involved 👍
I did mine yesterday and it got approved within an hour. And I'm also a Validator now.. WOW !!! .. did a few validations and rejected 01 of them due to the blurry photo. Never the less, glad to see it progress. Keep mining guys.
Congratulations Wes! Mine was a popup six hours ago. Then my team informed me they are also getting invitations. I guess it’s true they roll out per team. Try asking yours.
KYC means Know Your Customer, and it will be necessary to be KYC verified in order to complete any transaction using Pi, so you absolutely should do it. Otherwise, whatever Pi you've mined will be void--which might help increase the value of Pi but won't do anything good for you. I remember having the same question regarding Yoti, but that's about the time I found Wes, and he eased my concerns. My Yoti application was never accepted, though they pointed out that Yoti wasn't the final KYC so I didn't worry too much about it.
I'm 100% agree on you Wes, that Pi network should also be a provider of a decentralized KYC to other projects. Another unique way of having a useful platform that will generate additional income to the pioneers and for the whole ecosystem.
You mean like Civic? where all our sensitive personal information wouldn't go to their servers but still prove our identity? Pi could have made use of it, but nah, we all know "verifying that we're real humans and who we say we are" is the excuse to gather all our data and maintain it to have the right to use it whenever for whatever they please that can benefit them and not necessarily us, maybe even the opposite, hard pass even though I had been "mining" it for quite the time now. There's NOTHING decentralized about Pi's KYC.

And tell me what is your best suggestion to make it more decentralize when it comes to verifying humans to avoid bots and farm accounts that will satisfy your idealistic approach when it comes to KYC.

doing validation I haven't seen yours however you only get a piece of the sections for validation like the recording to see if your real...the pictures is the hard ones...some people pictures are terrible....oh and doing validations you can't record, share or screenshot...if you do you have a chance to lose all of your pi and be ban from pi

Hi Facing issue in completing Signing Tokens Agreement step as my earlier created 24 digits phrase is forgotten. I created a new wallet id with 24 digits phrase. Th new wallet id is different from pi network id so should I sign the tokens agreement?
Ahhh ok it’s different now. When they first sent them out it ask for things I got wrong like Profile number of my Pi profile. So I’m about to resubmit mine especially once I update my DL
Trying to upload ID photo for 10th time, keeps failing. Tried everything with light it's just impossible to take perfect picture bealcause ID is so shiney with lots of glare.

Hi In India, earlier email verification step was coming but not of Phone Verification. I have not signed Tokens Agreement yet so first should I complete it or should I verify the Mobile number first of all?

Not even established CExes ask for that much personal info to be able to acquire and trade with proven cryptos, at least not on the first level of their KYCs, I used Pi Network for quite a while but I think I'm going to have to pass sadly. @10:36 I highly doubt that.

Jos-Peri is correct. We need to keep watching and waiting to see what happens to the entire market as a whole. Celsius margin calls would happen at $14k. Saylor appears to be ok since he had enough uncollateralized BTC to inject to prevent a margin call.
I went outside onto our covered patio, so it was good lighting though not overwhelming. My driver's license photo is actually much worse because they made me take off my glasses and my skin looks all mottled (and I had all my teeth at the time), though it's clearly still me.
@Wes Spencer - The issue for me is, even tho i have a good phone with an excellent camera, the pictures i take through PI KYC are blurry and unusable. As soon as i try to take them with my camera app, they're really clear. Seems like auto zoom doesn't work in the KYC app and i can't seem to find the workaround. Does anyone have any solution for this? Would greatly appreciate it!

I have done kyc now but it went different from what you have showed here. I didn't have to take photos of my ID card and i didn't have to take a live video of myself. Does anyone know why? Is it because i used YOTI back then when it was possible? Or there's another explonation Thanks whoever knows the answer!

Exactly 24hrs later after watching your video and commenting, I got and passed my KYC minutes ago. YEAH!!!
My kyc process took me less than a day to verified and you can choose wether you want to become a validator to validate other pioneers or not

We had KYC'ed with Yoti app (back in the day) - why do we need to re-KYC again now?
Because Yoti KYC does not provide all the requirements of the pi network.
