I think why they keep the wolves the same and changed the ocelots is because dogs originally came from wolves. Humans made friends with wolves and eventually bred them into different breeds. Our house cats did not come from ocelots, they came from desert cats and basically domesticated themselves
Also all the variants are wolves not dogs

I still wish wolfs had at least one more command so they can stay and roam around inside of a fenced area
its sad that they never move, i don't want it to follow me, but i would like to have some sort of dog bed where it could walk around it, the distance should be set by the user right clicking on the bed, so one click on the bed it stays on the bed like the repeater 4 stages, 1- 1 chunk away 2- can walk 2 chunk away 3- 3 chunks away 4- 4 chunks away, and if the player put more dog beds it could increase this distance like it could be 4 chunks away from any dog bed or something like that.

@@sevendust141When anything attacks creepers, the chances of your world getting destroyed are way higher. That’s why no mobs attack creepers (scaring doesn’t count). And that’s just assuming you have mob griefing on.

7:48 Omg I'm so freaking glad they fixed the horse sliding bug, my 9yo has lost several of her beloved fast horses due to this bug, they slid into dirt and suffocated before she could dig them out. She was so heartbroken over this that she didn't play with horses at all anymore to keep them safe and lost enthusiasm about the game as a whole. I had to expand our graveyard because of this bug 😭
I just really had to comment on the Armadillo names. Like Rolly Mo and Armapillow were so cute, but Heidi was so clever (like Hidey). Great video as always, and can we appreciate Harry for each showcase map :D

Bedrock got a HUGE realms update at 1.20.80, being the 'Realms Stories', and due to that the old posts feature was removed, but honestly as a mobile player I like the stories better!

While I'm excited for this update, I think I'm going to wait until 1.21 update comes out officially before I start diving back in Minecraft (last time I played in my world was almost 9 months ago lol). That way I can enjoy both of the updates at the same time since both together would be a hefty chunk of new content to explore and enjoy.
I'm still upset that they keep uping the render distance on devices without fixing game breaking bugs that are made significantly worse when running at a higher render distance
Armadillo startled me earlier while I was playing. I didn’t realize they would be coming today. Happy surprise. So flipping cute!
It’s really anoying that the mace enchants and the bad omen vault things aren’t in bedrock yet but it’s good that every other feature is in it

I think I missed something, since when was this going to be a separate update? Wasn’t it supposed to be in 1.21? I’m not angry or anything I’m just a bit confused
They announced that it would be in a minor update a couple months ago, idk why.

They announced it in December but I wish they just kept it a part of 1.21
This was never meant to be part of 1.21
It’s been a seperate update since the beginning. In every 1.20.5 snapshot, the 1.21 stuff has only been accessible through an experimental 1.21 toggle, but the armadillo and wolf stuff was always available, toggle or not. They were also separated in the changelogs and the devs clarified this a few times on Twitter. It’s just unusual for such substantial features to be added in minor versions like this, so it’s understandable that many people wouldn’t take notice, since they had no reason to look for the distinction
I just want to report bug that I think people should know about.
Okay. So you when you fly with an Elytra in the sky or walking around without flying, and constantly switch from different perspectives of your character model well moving, the world around you starts to render in and out really quicky and rather sporadically. To the point where normal generated chucks or new chunks that you loaded start to be reloaded. (Even tho, they were already loaded Chunks to begin with.)
This is on Bedrock by the way. Not Java.
Same I’ve been having this issue as well. My character repeatedly breaks his neck and spazzes out mid flight lol, freezes for a second and reloads all chunks as you mentioned, peculiar bug indeed. It’s always something sigh but eh, it is what it is and always expected.
If i recall correctly, this was fixed in the latest beta/preview. But you'll have to wait until 1.21 for the fix.
@@JebsteritoZ Personally, I'm waiting for a bug fix update. Because I don't want to break my survival world. Even if it's a small bug. I remember my old survival world being corrupted by a glitch/bug that I didn't know about until it was fixed in a later bug fix update.
So for me, I'm not going to play Minecraft Bedrock version 1.20.80, until it's fixed. I'm not taking my chances. Repeating history again for me, is not ideal.
When are they going to increase the render distance on PlayStation though?😭
If you haven't already, i recommend checking out Vintage Story. Its like Minecraft, but more realistic, as a horror game. Having an absolute blast!
Finally more wolf types and still preparing for hardcore mode (I might consider streaming hardcore mode when it comes out) the only thing they're missing after this update is either another dimension or reworking the end (just as much as the nether)
One of the good things about the armadillo that it does give a very useful drop as I assume all minecraft players with dogs will want to give their dog the best protection
8:48 Honestly I don't understand why bugs like these exist in the first place... They're fundamental issues, and it baffles me that they take so long to fix these bug, which aren't even present in Java.
Every time you do a mic check at the end of the video it reminds me of the 100 pro tips video where you lost your entire nether segment. Thankfully it was on today!

They increased the render distance, but on bedrock you can't even play normally on 8. They should make it run smoother first instead and THEN expand on it. It's wild, because on java it can hold at least 18-20 for me. Same pc.

It still has the bug that on mobile, when you wear enchanted Armor it just shows a graphical box of glitch
I'm getting 16 of each wolf variant, one for each collar color, and I'm putting them all (except 3) in a big play pen. They all look very in there so far
I feel like the wolf armour should have been "pet armour" so that any tamed animal can survive adventuring with you, so cats, parrots and dogs should have been allowed to use them, not just dogs
I’m pretty sure that based on Minecraft’s latest piece of the trailer, that update 1.21 will be updating the Badlands, as the trailer takes place there, and the Swamp Biome was updated recently as well,
Wish they would increase render distance on PS5. Still capped at 28. 😢
The wolf armor is a very nice addition. I often leave the doggies at my base because they might accidentally die out in the wild while I'm exploring, now I may bring them with me on small trips.🤘
One thing that I find really annoying is that whenever I place a water bucket I can’t immediately pick the water up, this is especially annoying when I water mlg the water slows me down.

is anyone else having trouble with the update? My minecraft just refuses to update to 1.20.80 no matter what I redownloard, update, scan, verify, repair, reset, literally anything I do, I contacted support and apparently it's a known issue but from the looks of it, it doesnt seem known at all
They really need to make it so when you use commands to teleport, any standing pet wolves nearby will teleport with you

I lost an unleashed horse in the nether about a week ago. It turned up today, thousands of blocks away and tethered up to a fence post. Now I'm hearing about this bug, but it couldn't have used the leash? I dunno
I play on iPad Pro. Minecraft #1 sold game on Apple App Store for years. M2 is powerful and ignored.

@@SEADAWG63 as a person with the same iPad pro, it still comes nowhere close to (high end) PC performance.
You don't really need to be powerful to run bedrock though. I have a 2018 Samsung mid-ranger and it still runs silky smooth
I remember when the caves and cliffs update hit and my iPad Pro went from being able to run 56 chunks of render distance all the way down to 22 chunks. It was so sad.
So for console players (ps4), what are the alternate names to some of these biomes? I made a copy of my world, and in my copy i activated cheats to locate and pin point these biomes, theres no old growth anything in the list of biomes, wooded badlands isnt there, neither is sparse jungle, etc.
So half these biomes arent on consoles just an fyi, i had to make a copy of my world with cheats on so i could locate these biomes, old growth biomes dont exist, wooden badlands dont exist, sparse jungles doesnt exist, etc. you can use /commands and see for yourselves, least its this way on ps4, luckily my glitched over spawn eggs still worked and spawned in all the necessary dogs when i found a proper biome, i couldnt tell you what biomes they were because of console limitations but this was literally an all night fiasco in my ancient world but acquiring all new 8 dogs in my survival world is now done and completed!

Im confused, is this like live on bedrock through the actual live game or only the experimental worlds that can be created? Cause i wouldnt mind getting the wolves in my realm
These are the features that are fully released outside of experimental:
- The Armadillo & their scutes
- Wolf Armor
- New Wolf Variants

Based off what they originally said, they probably would've been in 1.20.5(java) and.80 (bedrock) But the community was like "hell no work on it more change it" so yes update

Old complaint but I do kinda wish they made dog armor crafted with turtle scutes to give those more of a use. Ah well, at least armadillos look like the modern evolutions of Sniffers!

Why is it not working i looked for wolf armor and scutes in the creative inventory, i visited an unloaded savvana and I spawned wolfs in the correct biome and none of the features were there. pls help

Sooo why again did they add the armadillo and wolf variants & armor now instead of just keeping it for 1.21? That kind of makes me think this might be a sort of another “part 1” and that 1.21 is still a ways out before it’s released (ie later than June).
Edit: I commented this earlier in the day before I had a chance to actually watch the video. Now that I have, I see that it was touched on a little…but that’s about it.

Minecraft actually taught me how to swim(in game) . Well, before i moved to java, which retrospectively is so much cooler! Also the fluids and all of the other stuff are broken because bedrock is broken

Nah this is kinda new, Mojang is going back to its more spontaneous roots.
Have to say though, for an update where tinkering was promised as a new feature there doesn't seem to be too much of it from what we've seen of 1.21.

Truthfully happy they are adding the armadillo but really wish theynwould put more effort into the new wolf breeds. I mean if we tame them they should change to new dog breeds. How about corgis to mountain ranges or near sheep herds, border collies, German shepherd's, small breeds, not to yawn-worthy reskinning. Also more food options. Berry pies, we got cherry trees but no edible cherries or cheery pies? No berry jam or berry pie? Beef stew? Chicken soup? Sushi? Only thing perking my interest atm is the new copper blocks otherwise everything is just YAWN!!!

@@dinogiampa9692 yeah it sucks that they even did anything like that in the first place considering that it’s a performance enhancement, I understand that with Microsoft owning Mojang that they want a incentive for people to switch over to Xbox, but with a lot of the business decisions that they make with this likely being one of them it’s just a scummy tactic because at that point why even update bedrock on PlayStation anymore? If they’re going to withhold major things such as this then who knows what they will do in the future just for the sake of trying to boost sales.
And this isn’t even about Console wars or any stupid stuff like that, because I genuinely do not care, I just don’t really like Microsoft as a company for reasons such as this.

this update is awesome but I cant play in it because It kicks me out of the game every time just after I press play. I play mobile on Bedrock edition.
So people know you cannot spawn the new dog variance in creative mode I always liked checking out what's new on creative mode and then going to start a new survival but I don't know why they didn't add that feature once again they don't think ahead
What biomes are you spawning them in? IIRC, spawning a wolf outside of the specified biomes will result in the original pale variant, unless you include the desired variant when spawning via command.

It feels like there has been so much hype for 1.21 features that when it started, mojang started the 1.20.0001 then 1.20.0002 and so on. Like cmon man. Update the thing and move on. Do it or dont. Obviously bug fixes need to be done, but every other game on the planet just updates and moves on. No yearly update crap. Also, new blocks? So? Its the same as every other block except it looks different. Im actually excited something is coming to console.
