    Thank you so much! I cannot get my computer to find the designs without going through a convoluted process each time. I'm guessing there should be a setting to fix this. Also, please consider filming with the iphone sideways so the presentation fills the screen and is easier to see. :) Love all your videos.

    Why don't they make this Acufil Hoop for the Janome Mb4/Mb7?

    Hello Michael. Can you please confirm that the Acufil system is compatible with a Janome MC 550E. Some ads in Australia say yes and some say no and I asked a gentleman in Canada with his own channel who was previewing a 550E and he also said no. I am confused.

      Hello! I'm sorry for the confusion, but, yes, the MC550E is indeed AcuFil Quilting compatible. There is a dedicated AcuFil Quilting kit available for the MC550E, MC500E, MC450E

    Hi there...I totally love this concept; a few years ago(2017) I purchased the acufil quilting kit but I never actually loaded the info; I do show the ASQ22 on my machine; but now I can't seem to upload the CD as it asks for windows xp, vista or windows 7 but we only have windows 10; help, how can I still make use of this CD

    Thank you for the information. I am contemplating the purchase of the 550E and trying to gather information. I own a Janome professional series machine, thus I've several of you video. I was extremely interested in how the AcuFil frame attached to the machine. Unfortunately the narrow view, cuts too much out of what you are presenting. It totally missed the hookup on the AcuFil frame. I would have also like to have see more of the pillow with the stipling and design work. I will have to hunt up the video you mentioned,; again a larger view would have capture it all. Thank you again for the presentations. A lot of exposure and a lot to learn. :)

      Get the 550e if you haven’t already. I have had other brands, but fell in love with “Janine” (spellcheck kept changing Janome to Janine). I spent hours every day on it, then decided I could get more done with an MB7, so I traded it in. I literally cried when I did, but I knew the person who was going to buy it. Anyway, I love, love, love my MB7, but missed Janine, so I bought another. Now they keep each other company.

      Hi Emma, thank you for sharing the Janome love! Since Janome is a wholesaler which sells through individual dealers, you'd have to contact the nearest authorized dealer to you to ask if they'll ship you a machine.

      @@janomehqjanomecanada4908 Yes sir, I have done that. I don't have an icon where I can import a .jef file so it can be converted to the correct format. I also don't have any 'help' icon.

    • @janomehqjanomecanada4908
      @janomehqjanomecanada4908  2 роки тому

      @@embroidsmarshawhite161 There is no "Help" icon, but there is the little blue question mark in the top right of the screen which has the built-in instruction manual. There is also no "Import" icon, but you have a choice of locations (Design folder, your computer desktop, various folders on your PC, USB flash drive if inserted in your computer) from which to choose designs when you click on the Design icon. That is how you would import another design which wasn't built-in to the program. The software does not convert files, they must already be JEF format. To convert files to JEF, you need additional software like Janome Artistic Digitizer.

    Could you explain to me why I just couldn't use of the larger hoop that came with the machine and download an embroidery file to achieve the same effect. Thanks

    • @janomehqjanomecanada4908
      @janomehqjanomecanada4908  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Jennifer. The beauty of the AcuFil Quilting hoop is there is no inner hoop. The quilt layers are held in place with large magnets attached through to the outer hoop, so it's quick and easy to reposition the fabric when needed. No little thumb screw to fiddle with, like with the traditional embroidery hoop. It's no problem to adjust that with thinner layers, but thicker layers can be tricky. As well, you don't need to worry about the loft of batting or thickness of the layers. To quilt in a traditional embroidery hoop, it's best to stay with flannel or thin batting, where-as with the AcuFil Quilting hoop, you can use thicker, heavier batts like wool, or a fluffy polyester, or even two layers of batting to show off great dimension. Happy Quilting!

    I think it's a real shame that manufacturers of embroidery machines haven't made their software accessible to Mac users, without them having to go to the expense of running Parallels or buying another laptop PLUS Windows to run the software.
