Absolutely 💯 thank you to all folks cleaning up after this family. If it was not for your kindness and hard work, this gorgeous family who loves you too would not be so darn pretty. You know the scent. We can only imagine. The 🥵 turn up and make it cooler esp for workers and Nene.
Aww Nene is really slowing down. It was lovely how Ai moved immediately to make room for her. We all love a crazy old lady ❤😂
😆 She has such a unique personality and I love her little nose twitch she does. Seems like whenever Annie pranks her, her twitch gets triggered even more.
The love they have can make most people jealous i am so happy annie has her brother and her father is just as great as the son is with her

I love how Shabani looks at Ai. I feel like he truly adores her. I wonder why she doesn't seem interested. Maybe it's just her independent personality? Not sure but I would love for them to have more babies.
I’ve noticed that Nene has a harder time pulling herself up on the shelf lately. I suppose it could be her arthritis that is making her stiff. Also, I’ve seen in other zoos they make all kinds of enrichment toys for the gorillas and other large apes but it seems to be that this zoo doesn’t think it is necessary. There doesn’t seem to be any such thing. I wonder why? I don’t think it would be expensive to make these toys or to give them new foods to try occasionally. So much of the time they are just sitting. I wonder how the zookeepers think. There might be some things I don’t know about. ❤
Aw, I hope they do start accommodating more with her, too. Especially if she does have arthritis. I think they are great with making sure she can eat food and how they helped raise Annie was sweet.
Agree...Japan zoo's are not very good about enrichment. US zoo's do things differently daily. Also, we just saw a program about their digestion and what they eat in the wild, they eat a lot more fruit than they get in the Japanese zoo's. They say it's bad for their teeth, but the US and other zoo's give them oral care to combat that.

@@Gretta1759while some of that may be true, the females are likely on birth control to avoid inbreeding. That's the only way to keep them from getting pregnant, until they move Kiyo out. I don't see him being moved for awhile.. so we will continue to see mating attempts until they do... Sadly.

They don't like to be wet! They truly do show affection toward one another. It's wonderful! Another observation: it's too bad they can't be trained like kittens, to go to the bathroom in the same place all the time.
I'm sure their wild counterparts don't care where they do their business...

Nene is tired how would we like it if we were an attraction I am not against animals in captivity but at some point, we have to show them respect for letting us enjoy them day in and day out all. It's a sad time in the world when majestic animals like these are safer behind glass than in their natural homes. But as long as we respect them and remember they are just like us things will continue to run smoothly

Question 🙋🏻♀️? Was Shabani following Nene to see if maybe she might want to mate or is Nene getting to old the research that I have done on gorilla’s some at this age are like he!! no. And some are a little older before they say get away I have the worst headache ever 😂😂😂😂. This is what I was thinking Nene to me like to mate a lot and not that long ago so if Shabani can get her to mate then maybe Ai would😊😊Or am I humanizing them way to much? Kiyomasa love’s Annie them 2 have always hugged,, they would walk and hug so sweet.
I think they are 98% like us in DNA. (Not entirely sure with the percentage but they share so many characteristics as us which I think makes us feel relatable to them.) ❤
