Speaker Biography: Jason Farman is associate professor of American Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. He is also the director of the Design Cultures and Creativity Program and a faculty member with the Human-Computer Interaction Lab. He is author of the book "Mobile Interface Theory" and editor of the books "The Mobile Story" and "Foundations of Mobile Media Studies." His most recent book is "Delayed Response: The Art of Waiting from the Ancient to the Instant World."
