Anyone who is deeply connected with parents will cry with this episode. The "take care" from a mother is something so precious. It shows the love of a person that will always be watching and praying for you, even if you are distant.
man i've cried so much in this anime.... it is so good and powerful ! This anime is so good ! It makes me almost cried 3 times in the same episodes ! It's crazy ! I love Re:Zero ! And the "Take care" has hit me deep.... So beautiful... Each time, I watch this moment, I cannot resist to cry or almost.
This ep and ep 8 hold a special place in my heart. They signify Subaru in a away we have never seen him before. In this ep we see he’s carefree, humorous, honest with his feels, and just outright happy. In ep 8 he went through so much torment (being eaten alive, losing Otto and possibly Ram), then when all hope seemed to have been lost forever, he is given the chance to speak about his suffering, the relief he felt , his sorrow and pain all disappeared that very moment when he realized he was no longer held by the shackles of being lonely and going through it alone. The last anime scene that really got me like this before Re: Zero was probably Attack in Titan, last ep where they go to the ocean, Eren knowing the future realizing the dire situation they were in, the fact that only he knew what was going to happen and unfold, what really got me was his face watching the others having fun and not having a car win the world, his face crashing down on them like a boulder. Them coming to and seeing his face also losing hope and just the MUSIC in that scene AGH. Really it’s hard for an anime scene to hit me but god there are moments, a few to mention SPOILERS for Guilty Crown, MHA, FMA, Your Lie in April, Fate Zero Guilty Crown: Inori death MHA: Midoriya vs Todoroki FMA: Nana transformation YLIA: Kosei performance w/ out Kaori Fate Zero: Kiritsugu kills Natalia
I'm pretty sure most of the song or at least the main part, when the song is really noticeable, starting at 3:00 is just A Tale As Old As Time from Beauty and the Beast. It's either the same song, or they just took A LOT of "inspiration" from it.
That would actually make a lot of sense considering that Re:Zero is a love story that has previously used ideas from Disney movies. Some examples are Rem's condition being labeled as the "sleeping beauty disease" (Sleeping Beauty), Felt's situation: an underdog of society becomes or is revealed to be a princess (Cinderella), and apple symbolism as well as the inclusion of witches (Snow White). And what do all these movies have in common? That's right, they are love stories. I am willing to believe that Tappei has taken inspiration from western literature, specifically Disney movies, to incorporate into the Re:Zero story.
@@anionboi2954 He actually takes a lot of inspiration from astrology and constellations too. Like Subarus name is a constellation reference. Which means theres lots of greek, roman, sumerian analogies.
I keep relistening This episode made me cry like Subaru and well, just like with probably most other guys here - holds a special place in my heart I just love this theme (reminds me of Requiem of Silence at some parts) Nicely done!
The hardest part of growing up for me is knowing that one day I'll have to say a final goodbye to my parents. God, this episode had me crying all throughout. Edit: We were eating dinner and my parents started talking about how things would probably be with my sisters and me after they pass away and I had to try so hard not to cry in front of everyone. Just so you know, I am a 17-year-old guy about to be 18 in about a week and I still cry like a baby. While my parents and I argue a lot and get on each other's bad sides, I just can't stand the thought of losing them ever.
I wish the ending would be Subaru being to be able to hop from the Rezero World to the normal world without any problems at anytime therefore he can meet with his parents and also be with the people he died saving again and again (I don't want an ending that doesn't involve the parents.. since that would be sad if they never get to know where their poor son went/got transported..) If Subaru does decide to stay in the Rezero World I hope he would meet up with his parents first so it won't be sad..
From Wikia of Re:Zero, taken from one of the Q&As with the author: "Subconsciously, Subaru knew: he was never coming back to Japan" The author states in the Q&A that Subaru will never be able to return home, meaning that he's stuck in the world of Re:Zero for the rest of his life.
Gosh i need this ost written on a paper version, it would really be a dream to do it. I have given up on piano for 2 years now while i praticed it during all my childhood, i feel like i nearly lost all my level and this would be the ressurection since it'm soo attached to it
Absolutely love this video, thanks for arranging it! Do you mind sharing your secret for producing such a clean audio? Do you record it yourself, or you just use some VST after transcribing?
I'm in love with this cover. Amazing work all around, and it works well with the original scene too. I wanted to ask if it was possible that I could use part of this track for a fandub I'm editing of the scene in question. I would of course credit you at the end of the video and in the vid's description. Let me know if you're okay (or not) with that. (btw I also sent a dm on insta, hope I'm not being annoying. I'm sorry if I am)

I swear music like this actually makes people cry
Love the little “take care” part you put in there. I can tell you obviously appreciate the beauty of this show. Great arrangement. :)
This episode hits hard for me and I'm sure many people felt that too. So I put more effort into editing this video! Appreciate your kind words :)
2:57 hit me Deep.
Itterashai literally means „Please go and come back!“. And Subaru answers with Ittekimasu (= „I will go and come back!“). So there is hope! :)
It feels like he is going to try to save mom too.
Well the author stated and confirm subaru wont be going back to his own world anymore like at all :(
When a simple and single "Itterashai" made you cry a lot. Dammnit ReZero 😭
Such a beautiful episode, nice cover!
Thanks!
I never really cry in anime but this episode alone made me cry twice
Same

The fact that they will be lost one day makes them more precious, right?
