Synopsis:
Trix and Skip are in for a whopper of a job when Zack and the Chuggineers order a big consignment of materials for the new Rotoslopia Engine Sheds. With customers picking up, supplies dropping off, and garbage to haul off, the two are soon zooming about! Can an unlikely friend gear them into the right direction to survive the day?

DIRECTOR'S NOTES:
Here comes the Construction Crews!
One of our goals for Season 2 was to explore not only the wider world of Crotoonia, but to dive deeper into the characters and how they (and some locations) connect with one another; in this case, exploring the Supplier's Yard we introduced in Tracy the Harbour Engine and how they contribute to a variety of things around the docks, towns, and beyond!
Skip the Trix entered the scripting stage back in April 2022; intended to be a simpler episode to pair up with another episode currently in the works, it got tossed around a bit before realizing it'd be an ideal followup to the craziness (both in terms of the production AND episode itself) within Loose Caboose. Ironically, thanks to the size of the voice cast (as well as one or two other things), it would take until January for us to finally enter the animation phase!
Like the prior episode, this would be a team effort with our trainee animators from the prior episode (Sean and Toony) graduating to proper lead animators with Tipper helping to take on a good chunk alongside assisting them, and boy did they deliver! I personally worked on the Chuggineers scene myself (save Benny's character animation, done by Sean), while the rest of the animation was split between the team. This episode would not look NEARLY as good without the help of them + Lachie doing Mr. Noisy's animation!
We managed to complete everything animation wise by late March, but the score and sound editing taking a bit to deliver led us to ultimately hold off launching the episode until now...and it was well worth it given how much we packed in! Many thank you to both our amazing voice crew for their delightful performances and bringing life to the series, and a special thank you to Emma from QVoices for hooking us up with Joe; both were delights to work with and glad to say it won't be the last you'll hear of him! ;)
