My favorite Ghibli movies are "Porco Rosso" and "Princess Mononoke" .
So, I am looking forward to the next reaction.
This will be my first time watching PM with English dubbing. I’m wondering if it will be a different experience for me. Iv seen this movie maybe 4 times, but I probably haven’t watched it fully since the early 2000’s. So what is your take with all pigs in the credits??

By the way , as I'm Japanese, I have only seen a Japanese version of the Studio GHIBLI movies. So I saw the English version on your reaction video for the first time.
I am not good at English like other Japanese. LOL But the voice of voice actor was similar to the Japanese version, so I thought the nuance was conveyed.
And I only understood one third of English of Mr. Wil. (^_^;) However Mr. Wil's feelings were conveyed by gestures and hot intonation of voice.
I think "Porco Rosso" is a film that conveys the coolness of adults. When I saw the movie, I remembered "Casablanca" first. Porco looks like a pig, but it is as cool as a Humphrey Bogart.
It's a tough time after the Great Depression, but everyone is living hard. In such a hard time, everyone is trying to live happily. I felt the importance of helping each other in it.
Even so, without thinking anything difficult, this movie was fun and thrilling and hot! Let's watch the video together again. (^_^)/

I’m glad my animated reactions kept you watching even though you only understood about 1/3 of what I was saying!😆 Yes... definitely a “Casablanca” vibe to part of the story. 👍

If you look at the right-side of the island, which is where Gina has her back garden, Porco's plane is parked there. Gina got her wish that Porco would visit her, and by implication they're all "happily ever after" with each other.

Marco looks like a pig because of guilt.
Marco feels guilty not only because survived the war, but also because Gina's husband (who was also his best friend) died and he's torn between the love for Gina and his guilt and sense of loyalty.
So he basically he cast the curse on himself, he unconsciously wanted the world to see him as a pig because that's how he felt.
That's the reason why Fio sees him with his human face, because he thought she was sleeping: in the moment he realizes she's awake he turns back into a pig.
That's an interesting take Damiano!! I never thought of the possibility that he could control his appearance. Hmmmm....
I’ve watched a few Studio Ghibli movies (and some other anime movies) over the past week, so I enjoyed seeing your reactions to them! I’ve never really watched anime but watching these older movies has been enjoyable.
