We may have tuned in to the show for Cory and Topanga’s will-they-won’t-they drama, but it was Eric’s shenanigans that kept us all hooked to the television screen.

He became Flanderized and characters that become this way really start to bring down a show tremendously over time. The last half of season 6 and all of season 7 (with the exception of when Shawn and Angela get back together and Cory and Topanga’s wedding) is really not very good and the show making Eric no smarter than a sack of potatoes and the stupid Feeney Call are the main reasons. Only real Eric moment I liked from the last two seasons was his stalking Corey and Topanga on their honeymoon.
the cherry on top of the Tommy stuff is that they brought him back in Girl Meets World as Eric started a political campaign to become senator. His opponent kept trying to discredit him and make him look like an idiot...then this guy stands up in his defense and tells everyone about how Eric helped him as a kid & had to make the hard choice, ultimately giving him a better life. The way Eric just looks at him & says "Tommy?", then going to hug him with obvious tears in his eyes was one of the best & most emotional payoffs they actually managed in Girl Meets World

My personal favorite cameo was Mr. Tuner
It's not in the show really, but a blooper. When Eric is hidden as the couch and they are sitting on him. They just started at him waiting for his lines.
He was like "you have to get off me" lmao
My favorite part is when he went on a date with the crazy Alanis moresset girl. He then tore her apart into writing crazy dark songs. His speech makes me laugh every time.
Great character! Eric is such a hilarious comic relief! But there a few episodes where we see him in his vulnerable side. I love when Feeny tries to pick him up.
He was also hysterical when singing “To Sir, With Love” to Mr. Feeny at the graduation!
Favorite Eric episode would be the one where is based off horror movies (Cory and Topanga broke up and Shawn is the killer). The "go Feenie" part is HILARIOUS!
I love that episode(and then their was Shawn) it was funny and Angela’s character grew on me watching that episode for the first time

Just always, Eric and Shawn are my favorite characters from that show, so Eric is always the best, but especially when he said “Lose one friend, lose all friends, lose yourself.”

@@sosunawoldeyesus9849 I liked her okay in the beginning of her run on the show but later not as much, but maybe it was less that I didn’t like her as a character and more that I didn’t like that the show turned her into someone who was just a prize to be won by either Jack or Eric, instead of being someone who had her own agency and made her own choices without being influenced by some guy.

The Feeny call was so classic.
You forgot he was right about Stuart in the episode "Everybody Loves Stuart" as before Stuart hit on Topanga everyone idolized him and liked him except for Eric, he was convinced that Stuart was bad news, which ironically he was right in the end.
The garage episode is one of my favorite of Eric, the one where he and Corey were suppose to clean the garage but Corey ask Topanga and Shawn instead. Showed how much love he has for his brother.
I would definitely watch a Eric Matthews one man show today after his storylines on Girl meets world

Will Friedle was great as Eric Matthew, but I think I will most remember him for voice acting. He was Ron Stoppable on Kim Possible... Bubblebee in a couple of the Transformer series and of course He is Batman on Batman Beyond.

Would have loved to see more serious moments on this list than just the number 2 spot. Like the time he helped explain to Corey the fact that Racism wasn't a problem in the past. The time he got played by the attractive female tutor to cheat instead of believing in himself.

@@JustMe-mp6vu Yes this. He spoke about this on a podcast he now does with Christy Carlson Romano from Kim Possible. Will has terrible anxiety especially with what he said to be live action work. All I care is that he seems perfectly happy and content with what he is doing in his life. Again if you really want to see him there's the podcast he now does with Christy I forget the name but they interview voice actors.

My favorite Eric moment was literally the entire “Shallow Boy” episode. This is the one where an annoying singer is driving customers from the wilderness store Eric and his father own. His father tells Eric to take the girl to lunch and tell her to go away. He does more than that and by the end of the day he has enraged this girl into writing the best spurned lover song this side of Alanis Morrisette. Perhaps the best moment of the episode (aside from the “He’s A Loser Freak” song Morgan songs from the girl’s album about him) is his attempt to get this girl to revert back to her sunshine and rainbows old self with an epic rendition of “Tomorrow” from Annie. This is my favorite episode of the entire series. I am crying I’m laughing so hard.
