"Sam, we gotta get out of here, they burned witches in the seventeenth century !" He immediately thought of her safety, the moment he knew when they were.
Samantha's dress look like something you could buy in stores today. Just proves how fashion never goes out of fashion really. There's only so many ideas designers can come up with for new items and then they have to repeat.
This episode is hilarious. I preferred the eps about trips into the past and of famous historical people. This is even funnier cuz Kravitz was included, and Dick York is on it. The full episode of this is on You tube because I watched it last week. I saw this show new.
I love this episode! I thought using the Gladys Kravitz character in this episode was not very well thought out though. It didn't seem like the director knew what to do with her. She was just kind of......there.
Thanks for posting this for Thanksgiving. In the cobwebs of my mind, I find I still remember this episode from my childhood. Aunt Clara was the best! My favorite character. Dick York still holds some charm as Darren, but can't stand Dick Sargent. Never could. He's only gotten more intolerable over time (and he's was pretty unlikeable back then.) It would be interesting to see if this series was ever remade if it would work to portray Darren as accepting of Samantha's powers and identity as a witch instead of trying to suppress it.
I agree, watching reruns has shown that "darren" was really a lousy character and after a while very irritating. While a remake would be nice the woke would destroy it by demanding trans, full cast of LGBQT, etc.
That was the whole premise of the show - Samantha trying to live as a mortal and dealing with her family and the chaos they caused. Any remake in today's mindset would remove all the whimsy and replace it with everyday family conflicts like every other tv show. As for Dick Sargent - yep the show changed when Dick York had to leave. Can't actually explain it - but the "passion" went out of it. With York you'll notice a lot of kissing and other husband/wife affectations. With Sargent, since he was gay, that was very limited and he played the character with a more dry reaction which came across as more snarky.
We’re going back in time to the first Thanksgiving to get turkeys off the menu! That’s right, we’re going back in time to the first Thanksgiving to get turkeys off the menu!
This was the only thanksgiving episode of Bewitched and Aunt Clara goofed up to send everyone back (including) Gladys Kravitz and she wouldn't believe that
Love this episode and its message, which we're still trying to live up to. Elizabeth was beautiful. Love her hair style. I love Sam's reaction when she realizes Gladys came back with them, with her measuring cup. 😀 I will say this. Sam, Darrin, you need to keep your doors locked. But, hen again, we used to keep our doors unlocked during the day back then. We knew our neighbors. How things have changed, for a whole bunch of reasons.. I think Darrin forgot his own suspicions about Sam's age that would make her a young girl during this time, when he says "I didn't know you spoke Pilgrim." 😀 Beautifully filmed.
Darrin actually thought a plane could take aunt Clara to the first Thanksgiving? That's not even funny. This episode is one of my faves though. Mrs.Kravitz made it funnier.
Why would Aunt Clara, a supposed immortal, long for the days of hanging out with human religious pilgrims struggling in the new colonies? Loved the show but some of their storylines were lame.
Aunt Clara seemed to love everyone, regardless if they were witch or mortal. I remember Aunt Clara couldn't wait to "meet that darling mortal" that Samantha told her she was married to.
Clara missed the friends she made back then. If you're lucky enough to live a long life, a lot of your friends will die before you do, and you will miss them. My mom used to say that one of the worst things about living a long life was watching all your friends die. At least Clara, being a witch, was able to go back and visit them.
Don't we all wish for a aunt like Aunt Clara? She's truly magical on all levels!
Bewitched was never the same after Marion Lorne died. Even Alice Ghostley couldn't fill the void.
She is so super sweet
@@Deutschie Alice G had her own special quality. But i know what you mean Aunt Clara was lovable
AUNT CLARA, was my fav. of all her
relatives; such a kind, kind Soul& they said she was like that in real life(surprisingly)
so was ENDORA#####

Yes, Elizabeth Montgomery was definitely a fashionista!!🎉🎁♥️
The real 1620's dress wasn't.
@@deidrelorenz8851 i love her dresses and Endoras as well
I love the way Gladys Kravitz fainted in the chair.
Darrin’s next line: “Sam, I didn’t know you spoke Pilgrim!”
Aunt Clara we got caught in your jet stream. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Aunt Clara is a delight 😁
Aunt Clara is the most lovable tv character.
I REMEMBER watching this episode of bewitched and it was excellent for Thanksgiving day.....
This episode was just on today on Antenna TV. Happy Thanksgiing! 🦃🍊🍞🌰🍗🍽🍴🍺🍷
Omg When Gladys got caught in the cross-fire 😂😂😂😂
I didn't realize they had a different actress. What happened to the original Gladys? She was perfect.
@@angelacase2331 She died from ovarian cancer in '66. She was getting treated for it, but never let the cast and crew know what was going on.

I am enjoying seeing episodes I never saw as a kid!
I love the furniture 🥰🥰
Thanks for a blast from the past. Loved the dingy aunt.
"I didn't know you spoke Pilgrim".
This is to funny with mrs kravitz😂😂
Sandra gould did a good job as the second gladys kravitz.
John Alden was played by Richard Bull, AKA, Nell's Olson from Little House on the Prairie.
