This was an excellent job. Definitely consider a singing career Hannah with singing lessons from a good coach. With a voice like that you want to be aiming for The Sixteen conducted by Harry Christophers who I've sung for. The choir will take you all over the world ! You need to be an excellent reader - if not, then learn to read the dots at sight to be in with a chance - you're almost there with the voice though! Richard
How much division is there in this piece? Annoyingly (but, perhaps, understandably) I cannot find any complete scores on the internet. I'd love to do it with my choir, but if there's any split tenor, then that probably puts a nail in the coffin. Additionally, is the soprano solo in any way optional? Thanks!
I am singing this during Advent this year. The tenors do not split and there's no sop solo. I think it sounds like a solo because there is a prominent sop in this particular ensemble, but a solo is not indicated in the score.
@Francis Faux interesting. Mine is a 1948 Boosey and Hawkes print. There's definitely no direction for a sop solo. Maybe there are later arrangements with solos, but either way, this version is lovely
The choir are fabulous but the conductor is something else. What incredible passion. I am in awe
Sang this piece in high school. Absolute joy. ❤️
The most beautiful rendition I have ever heard, thank you
Clear diction, note perfect. Thank you.well done everyone.
Beautiful. Thankyou! My church performed this song today. This composition sounds like it was written for a chorus of angels.
Thank you al! Purely, simply, beautiful!
Excellent intonation!
Wonderful!
I'm dreaming of an acapella Christmas 🗣🎼🎵🎶🎄🎁🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑

Lovely performance. Can you tell me which arrangement was performed? thanks
It's an SATB arrangement by Michael Head, published by Boosey and Hawkes.
