I remember being so hyped about this update... How everyone thought that this was a complete gamechanger and that nothing would top it... And now this pales in comparison to 1.2 and 1.3.
Most of 1.2 and 1.3 wouldn't really happen without 1.1. 1.1 was truly the gamechanger, as this game wouldn't be this game, along with the mentioned updates, without 1.1.
The addition of hardmode hasn't been topped as of now. If... after the moonlord was killed the entire world changed again, with even tougher enemies and other ores, perhabs all natural stone hardening, creating a completely new mega challenge, that would beat it perhabs. But back then, the game was easily doubled with 1.1. 1.2 and 1.3 only added stuff ontop of the already gigantic mountain that 1.1 piled up.
+ᅚ No, 1.2 added 1000 new items alone. 1.3 added 800 new items. Thats already 1800, not counting all the items thats were already in the game before those 2 updates.
+John Smith Bringing up a retarded argument just for fun, don't take this serious guys. I love both games. And Minecraft only has what? 300-400 items and like 20 different enemies (I'm pretty sure it's less as well, with 2.5 of them being bosses (elder guardian isn't a boss))? And people say it has more content. lel.
I remember the embarrassment fighting the wall of flesh for the first time with you friend, we made a long wooden platform across the world, I summoned the wall of flesh, the boss didn't kill me but I fell through the platform without and obsidian skin... You could tell how that ended up

In terms of percentage of content added to the game compared to the previous version, 1.1 is still the largest update. It _literally_ doubled the game's content at the time, in terms of NPCs, bosses, items, every single category.
Who remembers when this update was the shiny new thing? How about this... Some old memories: Before the mini-map, when we knew our extensive mining systems like the backs of our hands Before the alternates, when all ores were simple Before Expert Mode, when most of us would fail like it were Expert Mode Before walking up one block tall slopes, where we would get annoyed if that was today Before diverse bosses, where the new ones weren't as clever, yet we still loved (to kill) them Before corruption was less of a hassle, when most of us wanted to destroy all of The Corruption Before, well, everything Now: We rely on our mini-maps to remember the pathways of our worlds We hope for certain alternate ores and go on different worlds to get them We challenge ourselves in Expert Mode, and fail like we used to We walk up slopes, half-blocks, and one block tall rises and travel the world that much faster We are annoyed by the mechanical, they aren't creative enough We clentaminate our corruption if it spreads to far We have everything Some additions removed certain things we used to do, like remember our extensive cave systems without maps, or made it more valuable to create worlds to get alternates. But, some additions make it feel like how we were when we started. Of all the new features, Expert Mode was my favorite, as it made me think strategy and feel like I was weak again. Eye of Cthulhu became a threat again, Eater of Worlds literally was the eater of worlds, and Skelletron felt like the guardian of the dungeon. But, let's remember the old, embrace the new, and live out our Terrarian lives.

Pvp in terraria is much better than in minecraft because you have much more weapons to choose from and more ways to move around (rocket boots, hermes boots, grappling hook, ect). In addition, you can incorporate much more detail into terraria structures than in minecraft because the blocks are smaller and you can place all sorts of furniture (such as tables, chairs, banners, pianos, colored torches, chain lanterns, clocks, pots, vases, ect). plus, you can make hidden bases in terraria look it up

I'm gonna stay subbed forever in hopes of a comeback. One can hope.
Wow 8 years later, still subbed? Hope you played the last major update
@@HeftyYeti8764 im turning 22 next month, I wrote that comment when I was 13-14 lol. still subbed. Sadly havent had time to play the newest update but that might change soon once im done with uni.
Ahhh, I miss the old days of 2014 and 16. I first joined on the PS4 and it was the 2nd version of Terraria. I really miss me and my brother playing on the PS4 every single day. We fought zombie invasions together, built a castle, and even fight the Wall of Flesh together. 2015 is so my year. Childhood memories... **cries**
"zombie invasion"
oc
Ah man this reminded me of when the crystal storm was an amazing weapon that got you through all of hardmode
Whos here after the journys end trailer, it really has brought us far and im sad to see it likely end😭
Wall of Flesh theme sounds amazing.
This brings back so many memories.I remember when I was a little inexperienced, I always used swords. Got to hardmode, and quickly realised that using swords got you killed. A lot.
Do you know I wonder what it must’ve been like to first fight the wall of flesh in here not only a different roar but in entire different track
October 3rd 2020 and UA-cam put this on my reccomendations.
*NICE*
2:45 best soundtrack so far
0:27 I kinda miss when these underground structures were shaped like that.
This is where the game really started to pick up and gain traction. This was also the first version I ever played and it got me hooked immediately
Nobody :
UA-cam 2020: terraria 1.2 trailer, terraria 1.1 trailer
2:25, unrealistic, the player would have spent all their gold trying to get a way better perk than strong.
It just shows you that they added refoging
@@darkknightgaming5596 I was making a joke....
Cool Spider ohh ok
I first bought this game prior to 1.1, just after they removed cobalt armour in favour of the craftable jungle. Who remembers how awful it was to get jungle and molten with like twice the material requirement along with needing silver armour for jungle and gold for molten?
Looking back at this makes me realise how excited I was for 1.1 and how excited I now am about 1.2!
The tracks are all from the game. In order the songs are the underground hallow BGM, the jungle BGM, and Boss 2 which is one of Terraria's three boss themes.
1.1 will always be what comes to my mind when I think of Terraria
this game always will have a place in my heart...
1.1-over one million copies sold.1.2-over two million copies sold 1.3-over three million copies sold 1.4-over four million copies sold
3 days left im so excited for 1.2
1.4.2 has released 7 years later hope you have played it
I remember when the underground houses looked like that
I fucking love this game spent 1000+ hours and still playing it without bored
