Kosi learned some great lessons that one should never judge a book by it's cover and one must also be careful how he/she treat others . She did not want to give Ben a chance because she thought he was poor and a nobody. He saved her dad's life and he turned out to be great! Great lessons for us all to continually keep in our minds.
Not that, she refused Ben because she was in love with another and didn't want any other guy. Mind you she also turned down other suitors. She was scared of the dream coming to pass that's why.
