The Living Hell of Ego and Aaron's Staff of Eternal Life

- This week's Torah portion introduces us to Korach, Moses' power-hungry cousin who led a dramatic rebellion against him, under the guise of campaigning for the rights of 'the little guy.' Korach was a man of renown and influence, but nothing was good enough for him…ultimately he went downhill, literally…and was plunged into the belly of the earth. Jim Long and Rabbi Chaim Richman share insights and perspectives that frame the Torah's eternal, cautionary lesson about the dangers of ego in a fresh contemporary light.

So many treasures in your teachings, I’d just like to add that I so like hearing the meanings of the names; once again BH💝 for you and your family
What a wonderful podcast again, thx so much
Thank you
Entire conversation is a take away, my goodness ❤❤❤
So happy to see such equality in the discussion between Rabbi Chaim and Reb Jim. I think that Aaron's race to put the censer someplace quickly to save so many lifes, is paralleled by the staffs of dead sticks placed in the Holy area and the one with Aaron inscribed then having the full cycle of life, of almonds, burst out from it.
Presidents come and go....
I have an Eternal King!!,
Baruch HaShem, my Holy One my Father my King!
Rabbi Chaim Richman, I think the red heifer is the symbolism of the bride of Moshiach, the wife/The New Jerusalem.
I have had such musings , so I concur!
Let him/her who has ears to hear...understand!!
Blessings!!
Why is there no tradition to read the tehillim of Korach's sons on this Shabbat?
Great Show 👍
55:43
Are the Sons of Korach from this weeks Parshat referring to the very same authors featured in Psalms later decendents of the very same
??
Why wasn't Korach striken with tzarras due to the loshen hora he spoke against Moshe & Aaron?
*His life was taken, it doesn’t get worse than that* ‼️⚠️‼️
@@shirleyannelindberg1692 LOL, I understand that, but why wasn't he given the chance to repent. I'm just curious.
His son certainly repented I heard that he who leads others astray is not given the chance to repent or at least it's very difficult it's a long story @@user-pd7il3xz5j

Indeed, the sons did repent and wrote many of our Psalms, which King David collated and put into one book 📖
