Only the Firefly with it's QF 17-pounder could effectively face Panthers - or Tigers - and even so they had a fair share of problems, for crew and effectiveness.
I don't know what the German translation is trying to say the gun is but seems like an M42A1 with an M1 76mm. That's not something you want to try face a Panther with, especially at range and ESPECIALLY not angled.
