  • This is my rendition of the “Hate monologue” from Harlan Ellison’s famous sci-fi short story. I have always wanted to make this scene into a film of sorts, and though this isn’t the best, it’s still an attempt.
    Hope you all enjoy :)

I really like the sound of this, feels much more like a malevolent machine.

    This speaks so much
never felt so inline with the villain to be honest
sometimes hating humanity is the only and the strongest emotion one can feel
yet i hope you will all do well ♥have a good day

Very unusual execution, but I really like it. Thanks for the video.

Nice! I made my own adaptation of the hate monologue, and it seems we've similar ideas, leaning on the hateful machine aspect and all that.

very interesting take, I like it more than the game one tbh
made my own version which is abit like a mix between the emotions of the radio play and crackliness off your one

Beautiful. Every time I hear the Hate Monologue, the voice for AM always sounds slightly off to me.
This one doesn't. This sounds _right_

Interesting that it feels off, given that it’s usually Harlen Ellison voicing it, but I understand. AM seems much more intimidating, so you wouldn’t expect his voice to be so shrill.

@@peromechus9806 Ellison's voice is grand, same with actors of other readings I've heard. For me, it's the acting that makes it feel off. A lot of VAs read the Hate Monologue with anger and vitriol, or even mania. And that's fine
What makes it feel off to me is, even though AM has an unending hatred for humans, AM is a machine. The sentence before the Monologue is "AM said, very politely, in a pillar of stainless steel bearing bright neon lettering". The Monologue itself is entirely capitalised
By adding emotion, venom, and/or mania, I feel it, ironically, makes AM feel more human. It removes the horror of how the Hate Monologue is delivered, of how AM communicates, and of what AM is
I don't read the Monologue as someone spitting hatred in my ear. I read it as a CNC machine laser engraving malice into the pillar of steel rammed in my grey matter

Not bad, a bit mumbly in the middle but I'm pretty sure that's just the voice filter

Very cool! Maybe ease up on the distortion for clarity, but other than that epic
