Hey man. I am a traditional wood shop teacher(44 years and counting) so you can imagine my angst with the situation we are in with no students in my classroom/shop due to covid19!! You just became my classroom for a number of processes I haven't had time to cover with my students. Thanks for your videos! Your presentation is awesome. You get right the point, something kids thrive on today. I know many of my students won't have the supplies to create these things but hopefully it will trigger a curiosity for the future.

    Hey man,
Little tip from me, buy a can of "silbergleit" from Felder, it is meant to help wood to glide threw your planer more easily, but it works on so many other thing too, castiron worktops, handsaws, drawerglides, screws, everything. It is also oil free and does not stain at all. (One can is also a lifetime supply ;) )

Hey man - I have been using cruise ship liquor smuggling bags (looks a lot like Total Boat Halcyon finish containers) to store things like boiled linseed oil. You can squeeze most of the air out and they work great. They are apparently intended to be used for smuggling liquor into your luggage and onto a cruise ship, but they work great!

Hey man...I watch all of your videos! I find that yours are the most informative and thoroughly described! As an added bonus your not one of the youtubers that hide details so you have to pay them to recieve the most important information the video is about!! I don't have a problem with paying for knowledge, I am recently disabled from a hit and run; utilizing skills I haven't practiced in over 20 yrs. Plus new ones (Epoxys for example). Thank you very much for your videos!!!

@@BlacktailStudio I'm not going to lie. My attitude and outlook at first were both quite grim. I struggled for many months to find my way free of the depression! I found a great woman who helped me past the physical therapy and hardships, and showed me that this too shall pass! She has been heaven sent and even when we have to find the way (the money wasn't there for a jointer) I have one in the woodshop now! She sees the differences between your teaching and the others greed and says your amazing for it!! I chuckled and told her that's how we do things in Oregon!!!

Hey man! Great hacks! If I may add to one: if you’ve got a mig welder in the shop, you likely have a tank of “Bloxygen” already - no need to buy it separately. I just add a few puffs of argon from the mig gun with the welder turned off, and the argon, being heavier than oxygen, displaces it and you’re left with an inert gas in the air gap. Works great!

Hey man! Love your channel. "Discovered" it a few days ago, & came back for the sanding glove diy. I spend a lot of time sanding finicky epoxy pieces, & often lose my grip (I have a gibbled left wing). This is brilliant. A softer glove with the super fine grit helps get into the nooks & crannies, so thanks for passing this idea along!
