Field sports is such a good shooting channel, it’s really good because it’s closer to Australian style of shooting than Americana dits proper shooting and it just stupid targets and weird stuff
Any show with Andy Crow in it is always going to be good. Putting rabbits on general licences would be an absolute disaster and, as Charlie says, once you've let the government (Natural England) in you'll never get rid of it again. It would become yet another issue for Wild Justice to froth about. On the "not enough rabbits" point, that's a good thing as they are a pest but I would never say vermin. Ditto when people complain there aren't enough foxes for them to have a big night lamping. Good, I don't see lamping and ferreting as simply sport, they are pest control which happens to be good fun and it means someone, somewhere is doing their job. Regarding the lockdown, if we still have a lockdown in September or October we are all, frankly, screwed. The economy would be absolutely pumped and the least of our worries would be game shooting. I have spoken to 1 shoot about taking some days with a team and they want a 50% deposit to lock in the days. Non-returnable. Sounds a lot but, they have also said if we can't shoot it this year because for example we have a second or even a third wave of C19 then they would give us the corresponding days in 2021. I don't have a problem with that as it spreads the risk between the shoot and the guns. I can't speak for our other guns, though! Yes, there's a risk, yes, we all need as much cash in our pockets just now as we believe is necessary to get through the next 3 months but, if we believe that the virus will pass (Germany plus others are now discussing how and when they lift lockdown) we should be booking up with our usual shoots and hoping they will do the right thing with the deposits.

Christ, my neck hurts just watching him but the truth of the matter is...my trigger finger is itching so bad watching this! My god, he’s very privileged to be asked to join them. Very nice indeed. I can honestly do without the news crap truthfully. I just want the action and the spot on shooting. Nothing against David, put a shotgun or an airgun in his hand and lets get it done already. Hate politics and news. The news on BSA Airgun draw is the first and only positive news I have heard in years. Get this man a weapon please and not an article. Thank you. Trust me, he would be much happier I assure you. Shooting is life itself! If the Germans need proof of why the wild pig/hog population needs to be kept in check they need only come to the southern states here in the USA. I don’t need to say another word about that. PERIOD! God damn plages of an unprecedented magnitude. Costing Billions to farmers and the ecosystem. If they don’t follow the real world they will pay the price. History repeats itself. No different their than it is here. Breeding is breeding and simply put ammo manufactures can’t keep up. David does a great job and the news i have to say but the shooter in me would rather see more impact and spot on shooting than reporting. That’s most likely not the general consensus but that is mine. I want air gun shooting, shotgun shooting, pest control, hunting in another country than the USA. My opinion in the U.K. means little being an American and so what I’m not British and that’s ok. Not into politics at all but air gunning and the shooting sports...I’m balls deep in it and hopeful that never changes or I will want to die. Thanks take care and god bless in these crazy times.

Can we have a report on what is and isn't allowed under the lock-down rules at the moment? Pest control is supposed to be, but some Police are saying only if it's done by professionals, and the majority of us who do any pest control aren't Bodie and Doyle.... What is the real situation, we all know the Police can be wrong, and hearing tales of licence and guns being confiscated are scaring people.

I'm keen shooter in Northern Ireland and am missing my weekend out by my self crow shooting. Is this classed as unesencual activity at this time.
