Try SOAP method, S - Scripture, O - Observation (what do you see in the scripture) A - application (how can you apply this to your life) P - prayer (write a prayer concerning what you just learnt) Try using a mix of two versions, one for understanding but another so that you don't lose the depth of the message NIV & AMP or NLT and AMP could be a good combo
