Sometimes, we could watch this on our grandparents' RCA color TV, which cost more than what our mom made in a month as a teacher. We didn't get our own color TV until 1974.
All I know is, is that this show was a must for Sunday night. After a long and enjoyable weekend you had to watch this before going to bed and knowing school was tomorrow.
I wasn't even born when this came on. It was on Sunday nights at 7:30 PM on WNBC-TV (channel 4) while Ed Sullivan was on an hour earlier at 7:00 PM on WCBS-TV (channel 2). Both Ed Sullivan and Disney's "Wonderful World of Color" was on the same night on two different networks CBS and NBC. "Bonanza" followed this one at 8:30 PM.
Yes, on Sunday night it was Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom and Walt Disney. The best Walt Disney episode that I always rembembered was "Dr. Syn Alias the Scarecrow of Romney Marsh". It was my favorite. I believe it was a three part series. Nice memories.
Those colors of footage are not acurately nice chroma, due the proccess of transfeeing was poor, all blue colors spectro are grey, red is dirry, dark, yellow too, poor colors finally. I would like to watch this footage remasterized, stereo, ultra colorized work, 4K. Crist, from the city of Santiago de Chile.
Used to watch it every week in black and white.

The year before I was born. How did I get to be this old?
I want nothing to do with anything Disney's movies or tv today--this clip brings back great memories when Disney had class! WALT WAS AWESOME!!!

I remember this intro perfectly because I was born in 1961 and every Sunday I watched Disneyland
Good times.

It was first telecast in February 1964, opposite The Beatles' appearances on "THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW".
@simpsonsfan1988 Thank you for sharing that trivia with us. 50th anniversary. Wow!!!

I didn't know it started in 1961, I thought color started much later. Most of the shows I watched as a kid in the early 60s were in b&w.
Ojalá y pasarán los programas completos en español latino
Wow! The Walt Disney Company pioneered psychedelic and kaleidoscopic imagery in 1961, half a decade before the hippies discovered it.
Nice😋
Taken from the episode, When Disneys Collide.
From "Inside Donald Duck"
The song that came to my mind when I saw the new "Wonder Woman" movie poster...
