Dude, this is sooo good! I’m inspired by your growth as a filmmaker..🧑🏾💻
A very personal story. Thank you for sharing! Love the shots and the lighting. Love the colors and how it felt like we were in a moment exploring it all with him. A great piece, Brady.
Absolutely stunning work and beautiful words ❤️ thank you for sharing such a treasured memory
Beautiful film and such a beautiful, heartfelt story. As usual, you absolutely smashed the lighting and the colour grade is amazing. In particular we were blown away by how powerful the shots were with the close ups, around 4:19 and how much they complimented the message and together with the sound - really heightened the emotions ❤️
This is Art , amazing. Thanks for the Inspo. I lost my father at a young age and could see myself making a short story like this for him. Very well done. Subbed.
Brady.. this is absolutely beautiful.. I lost my Mom a few months ago, she was my best friend and the only person that truly ever understood me because we are one and the same. I felt this film on a totally different level. Thank you so much for this. You are an amazing filmmaker and human being!!!
Lee thank you so much for this, I appreciate all of your endless support. I am so sorry for your loss 🖤🫶🏼
Sorry Lee. I lost my Mom last month also. She was my best friend. Haven't had the inspiration to create since but hopefully it will return.
Beautiful! Amazing work!
Gorgeous. Recently lost my dad and can relate so much. Love and good vibes to you Brady.
Wow. A beautiful film in every way. Visually moving with a heartfelt story. Thank you.
Extremely beautiful, bravo and thank you to share this story with us... What a tribute to your grandfather 🙏
Love this! I reflected deeply on my own life while watching this. Keep up the amazing work!
I love this!! 🫶🏾
This was awesome man love the shot selection and more importantly the story. 😢
This is a great example on how you maximize storytelling and minimizing complexity of location shoot, lighting setup, and blocking. Great stuff brady ✨🔥
Brady!!! This is so good. This got me in my feels. You are so talented and I'm so happy you decided to share this with us. I appreciate you more than you know.
Great work Brady! Very powerful storytelling. Matt told me about you and I've been watching ever since.
This is beautiful, Brady
Gosh this is so beautiful. Also very inspiring from a filmmaking point of view.
Wow man so good! I lost my Mom 5 weeks ago and have been trying to write a short story to produce like this. Thanks for the inspiration. Hopefully I get mine back and can pull it off.
I found this looking to see what kind of narrative shorts people have been making with my camera (FX6) and wow! Incredible work. Beautiful frames, lighting, colors, subtle and emotional camera moves, beautiful use of Bokeh and colors when close up on the projector, moving story, effective acting. Incredible work, keep going!
Brady ....my man. Seriously good job. Inspiring work, just pure cinematography ...no fancy stuff. Finally I got to see the final result after seeing the BTS this last period. You should be proud man, good film. Also the grandson acted very good, which is quite important right.
Kevin thank you so much. It was a really fun project to work on and I’m glad I could share it. The actor was a close friend on mine and the family, and he doesn’t actually act much! He’s great
so touchable
wow. I lost my grandpa a few months ago and this... was so beautifully told. Thank you for your vulnerability to share with the world.
this is all too real as my grandfather also passed away and i thought the same thing. Your channel always amazes me and have learned a lot about lighting too from you keep it going man love this.
This is just incredible. Thank you for your work! Thanks for the content you are putting out to the world. Are you going into a deep dive into the process of post production? Would really love to get a look into it.
Thank you so much! I haven’t thought much into post breakdowns, but maybe that’ll change soon now it’s out!
Man, this one hit hard. Absolutely incredible. I love everything about this piece. Films like these are what make me want to keep telling stories. Stories that have impact and meaning. Stories that hit close to home. Thank you for this awesome film.
While I loved the shots here, they were beautiful. The story elevated my experience with it. It’s the combinations of the cinematography and the story that made this so amazing! Very well done
Such a beautiful film Brady, I guess it hits harder because I relate to it. Much love
Excellent work. The color grade for this is fantastic. Reminds me of the particular Spielberg aesthetic that JJ Abrams uses.
It made me cry ...brandy u r the one to whom i lookup to and i learned alot from u like lighting and cinematographey and 2day I learned ur a great person too alot of love from the KINGDOM OF BHUTAN
Magnifique !
good works. interesting story. Nice colors. Perfect sound track
Sach a beautiful! ❤️
I literally cried
Brilliant 🤩🔥‼️‼️what lense did you use for this ? So dope
Good old times Brady 😉 I still could recognize 😅 and now we have the FX6 🎥 best cinematic greetings from germany
@@BradyBessette i have the FX6 now for about 2 years 😂 i mean si the times are changing
Awesome
Beautiful visuals. I would say it's a visual letter. The story isn't quite there, but you could recut it (and add a couple of scenes) to get it there. Most of the VO would be unnecessary as well.
Thank you! I was just working with what I had, no sound person, 2 just me, etc but thank you!
I was looking for Inso and this caught me off guard I was balling my eyes out man
Professor Brady! I hope you remember me! Lots of love my brother. t
This was amazing!
Great breakdown! Where does the teel light from your Thumbnail come from?
See you on the other side grandpa
This is by far, the best video I've ever watched on UA-cam, I would pay to watch you. This is Hollywood man, better. The script was so beautiful, and the cinematography aaaaaaaaah wow.
you killed it young tom cruise without the crazy lol
Love it! Is that _the_ projector?
The projector that had been broken since I was a little girl! We had to borrow a projector from a friend to watch our home movies. Brady did the due diligence found the part and fixed it 50+ years later!
😍
How many cameras are used in this video?
My God you know this is my dream this is what i want ... to be a film creator

I’m lost in words… Storytelling is on another level. This is what films should be, inspire and evoke the human inside us. At the end of the day, filmmaking is a tool or platform to inspire one another and this place a better place.
