    After learning this method I'll never lose control of another Command Post.

    Never thought that I could get an airbrush-quality paint job without an airbrush... fantastic work

    I just got some clones for the first time and I think these are the best looking ones I've seen, especially with how fast you were able to get them done. Building up the white with the grey to give it some natural shadows turned out great.

    Might be a knit pick but you forgot the black brow line. Besides that the miniatures look AMAZING

    Nicely done 😁👍🏻 I’ll have to try that sponge technique, I did dry brushing for the whites on my stormtroopers. Where do you get those sponges?

      Back again, next few videos I'll be breaking out the air brush to try and paint my entire Ad Mech army. Probably will still use sponges though :).

    @Karl Makes Things How did you prime this miniature?

  • @scottduval2668
    @scottduval2668 3 роки тому +1

    Would you recommend priming in black?

    • @karlmakesthings
      @karlmakesthings  3 роки тому

      if you prime with black you will probably need to put down a base coat with a few layers of your medium grey with a brush to under coat the miniature. Other wise the sponging steps will leave really dark "shadows" on the miniature.
      Grey primer just lets you skip that step and helps to keep the time down for painting these guys.

      @@karlmakesthings could this technique also be used with phase II clones and stormtroopers?

    • @karlmakesthings
      @karlmakesthings  3 роки тому

      @@scottduval2668 Yup, all you would need to do is reference a few photos to figure out what areas should be black. :)

    Can you re-use the sponges? Or is it a one-time use?

    • @karlmakesthings
      @karlmakesthings  2 роки тому +1

      If you washed them before the paint dries yes. You could drop them in a Jar with water to keep them from drying then wash them after your session.
