took the test on friday in SC, the Russian question went something along the lines of, "the licensee takes the advertisement out of the city newspaper and places them in two Russian speaking newspapers". There was a little more to it but that was the important part of it. Also thank you for all the time and effort you put into these videos, put as many ads as you want stu!!
Thank you Stu, for clarifying this, I had that same question on my test about advertising in a Russian news paper, I think the question went something like this; A broker placed an ad but noticed the home was located where predominantly Russian's lived with Russian markets, so he removed the ad and only advertised the ad to Russian people

Heroin seems to be the go-to example of unlawful consideration or whatever, but what about something more realistic, like, selling a house for 500,000 in stock and bonds, or I list my house for 500,000, but I will sell it to you for 150,000 if you can guarantee that my kids get accepted to your college...
There is nothing illegal about selling a home for stocks and bonds. People have sold houses for Bitcoin. I actually have sold homes in exchange for stock portfolios. If the stocks and bonds are transferable, it is legal. Also the second example I don’t know that it would be as clear to people as being illegal. I use an illegal substance as an example to make a stark contrast.

It just seems kinda wrong that you can't be friends and hang out with people if you work in the same field. Your vids are a bit ad heavy, but I read in other comments why and understand. $25 is a good price, been watching your vids for a few days now, and have sent out a ton of links. Maybe consider affiliation programs as well. Or timing the add placement in moments of silence. You can count to see me in your courses soon, just based of of what you've put on youtube.
First....thanks for the thoughtful comment. I try to space out the ads, and not make it awful. I'm also going to be going live once a week in December, so if you are available to hop on, I'm going to be treating it as office hours. This is all new to me. I'm the editor, video guy, content creator and everything. I WISH I could put it out there ad free, but it would literally be me flushing my car payment down the toilet. It might not sound like a lot, but at the rate people watch these videos, it covers my car payment (Just the two hour webinars). I've thought about keeping ad free versions behind a member only section. I don't know what I plan to do in the future. However, I do take the feedback and am trying to learn from it. Kickbacks are complicated.....my entire circle of friends are colleagues. Do I have attorneys, title companies, and lenders I go out to lunch with? YES! Do I pay for lunch, or let them pay for lunch sometimes? YES! Do I think that is a respa violation, NO. I do think a respa violation would be if a lender treated me to an extravagant meal, or something that would raise eyebrows. In practice, I think there is a grey area and use common sense, and good judgement. When studying for the test......everything is a violation (in my opinion).
I am watching this not live, but as a recording. Great content and great teaching. But... too many ads cutting your sentences and it's so distracting. I understand this is a business, I understand supporting your cause but I've never seen this amount of ads anywhere else. You might not be aware. Heartfelt thank you for all the valuable tips and info. I forced myself half way through despite being distracted and annoyed but can't get myself to watch it the rest.
I get it completely. I’m a one man show, and literally this is how I put food on the table. I want to offer this to people for free, but I also have to balance out a cost benefit to students who pay. If you love what I do, and want to participate in the live webinar, it’s currently only $25 a seat. I know $25 isn’t a lot, but it is to some folks. With that in mind I do want to offer some option to those who want this for free. I currently can’t afford to keep someone on to edit, to adjust ads, offer the classes and private lessons. I hope in the future that will change. I appreciate the feedback and I would suggest watching the shorter content to avoid mid roll ads.

I'm also thinking of doing a membership fee for these and leaving them up ad free in the member only section. My longer content has a bunch of ads, my shorter content though is midroll free.
I actually removed two just now. So the ad's run every 10 minutes. I think that is fair, considering most people consume shorter content and get ads at a much more frequent rate. I appreciate the feedback, and hope you join one of the live recordings of these! :)

Options listing gives the buyer the right to buy a certain property for a certain price by a certain date. Buyer doesn’t HAVE to buy it, but if they choose to do so, the seller is obligated to sell to them.
Obviously I love your videos because here I am again, but let's be clear...GENDER was NOT a term used in 1974. Fair Housing Act in 74 was mainly about urban development. Section 8 housing was created at that time. Once it mentions the word sex. At some point, depending on the state, the word gender started turning up on govt forms but was used exactly as the word sex. It simply meant male it female.
Much love, much respect, and I say this to be super clear. 1) I’m familiar with how the authors of the national and state tests. 2) my ONLY goal is to help people pass this test. 3) the authors will use gender = biological sex. I’m not an author on state tests any longer. I’m only being very clear to make it understood to my students how they can see wording on a test, and how to properly answer.

@@azsunburns they won’t ask about section 8 because for the most part state and local laws in regards to assistance, and other programs vary so greatly. I try to be clear, and I try to also understand my goal is to help people pass. I’m not a political/activist/or social commentary channel. I’m not here to give my opinion, or advocate for anything. My only job, is to care about my students passing, and I have many many gripes about the test I could write a whole book on. I just try to mention/make clear what students need to know :)

what is the answer? I had that on my test not sure what i picked
I believe any advertising shouldn't be discriminatory so the broker discriminated to advertise only to a specific group of people
