I am running these wheels (15x8) with rival S tires (205) on my NB Miata. It’s great for autocross. I was told I can run 205 and not have to roll fenders which needed up being the case. Once I put stiff coilovers on the car I can lower it to the correct height without it rubbing.
Great tire selection. They are fine in the rain even at the 245/40-15 that many autoxers run on their turbo Miatas. But hopefully you heat cycled them really well. They do take an really thorough heat cycle before they will grip.
Picked up my 660s this week. It’s a 1.6L so using 195/60 14”S on RPF1s. A proper alignment is due so I’m thinking over camber measurements for mostly street use on well maintained roads and a little autocross. Any suggestions.
@@pattyboi good to know. I’m currently running a set of JR-Wheels JR11 15x8 et25 with 205/50R15 Hankook v12 evo2’s and the steering is a bit heavier. Wheels are 16,5 pounds and tyres are 16 pouds so pretty heavy overall. I love the wheel style so maybe in the future I will also order a set of S1’s👌🏼 Keep up the good work, quality videos!
HELL YEAH I’ve been looking at s1’s for a while… finally they’re featured on a top quality UA-cam channel 🔥
yesssiiirrrr
i was literally gonna get them in like two weeks and ive been looking at them like crazy
uhhh... Gingium?
Wide opens are so fresh. Look like a deep dish rpf1
You make good videos. Keep it coming man.
Edit:
MORE LOWWWW!
Bro Michigan roads are just dirt lol, no more LOWWWWW
I have got the same wheels (17") on my MK6 GTI. They are crazy light, only 39lbs w/245/40 PS4's.
Beautiful! That no start condition is most likely the fuel pump going out. From experience with many Miatas.

I have them on an ND miata, really are best miata wheels imo
Are the fenders rolled or anything like that for such large wheels and tires?
I agree with some of the other comments that you should lower it just a bit more, in the front at least, it will look sooooo good.

Oh that's great to hear about rain performance!
Could be 1.5-2” lower. Looks good though.
Looks awesome
Love me a patty boi vid
Does this setup fits NA?

you need to lower it like 2 inches. i run the same exact set up on my nb2 .... it fucks . need the lip back on as well and itll look so aggressive
Dude the potholes around here would eat my car alive haha, gotta keep some ride height
What is your (pinch weld) ride height? Looks awesome.
Nice setup! How does the steering feel with such light wheels? I wonder if it feels any lighter with those meaty tires. Whats the weight per tire?
It feels near the same steering weight, however the turn in is crazy aggressive. Not sure on the tire weight, definitely heavier than my 205s

Hi there! Loving these videos. Does your miata have an LS diff? Thanks!
Yup, I've got the 4.1 LSD
@@pattyboi Very good! Did you install that or was that an option that the car came with?
Sick looking set of wheels man. Do you like the quality of the rims? Also, do you think it will hold up long term?
These are the exact same setup I’m going with for my Miata
God I can’t wait to get a turbo setup
You need more lowww
NEINNNNNNNN
Gonna get mudflaps next
Maybe, we'll see!
Same as what I got 15x8 RPF1’s, 225/45 15 RT660s. I’ve driven them in the snow😂 definitely don’t recommend obviously.
That’s not the battery bro
Drop it 2 inches, roll the fenders and perfect fitment
