    first of all, thank you for the video. i am really glad that i can go snowboarding in the swiss or austrian alps. what i see as " superchairlift" and the small 6 person gondola lifts AND the long waiting lines it reminds me at times in the late 80s. my personal no 1 ist Ischgl in austria with several 8 person chairlifts with bubble and heatet seats and 3 big main gondolas with 16-20 person capacity make no waiting time even in high peak season like christmas time. 2 years ago in zermatt in switzerland i met a guy from usa and he said that for him it better and cheaper to fly to europe for skiing and he comes every year. so come to europe and make a video. have fun in the snow, regards from cologne , germany

I have been on bliss or the run at 0:30 and i didnt struggle too much just on the drop off at first. I just want to get to imperial soon like the next time i come here which will be soon hopefully!! Imperial bowl is probably the easiest then easy street. If it’s not too windy up there and you feel comfortable riding the ridge to zoot chute, thats usually a rock free and nice ride, just avoid the lake at the bottom.

    • @snowboardtraveler
      @snowboardtraveler  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks! It’s typically 2 days of filming and exploring. If we really love a resort, we’ll stay as long as possible! Some destinations are newer to us and others we’ve been visiting for years and returned to film. Europe is high on our list, too, the Alps, Dolomites, everything. • @snowboardtraveler
      @snowboardtraveler  4 роки тому

      It depends on the size of the resort and type of terrain. To really explore a resort it probably takes about 1 day per 1,000 acres. If you have to hike to terrain then could take longer. Maybe next year for Europe, fingers crossed.

    • @snowboardtraveler
      @snowboardtraveler  4 роки тому +1

      Drink lots of water! People react differently to altitude but you will likely feel it, even just breathing heavy walking up stairs. Take Advil or Tylenol for headaches and drink water. Eating carbs helps and eating normal meals even if you don’t feel hungry. Keep alcohol to a minimum if you feel the altitude. Ski vs snowboard, ski is usually easier to get the hang of, snowboarding usually takes 3 days of effort to learn. Worth taking a lesson if you’ve never done it.
