I always try to show different techniques. Many have combined use cases from multiple videos and applied. I have a delegable search video also coming in future. I have not given up on that yet.

I encountered this issue when the choices column had similar data like 1. Hello world 2. Hello Universe 3. Hello Team. My lookup on the choices only return 1 item and when searched with text Hello, doesn't give proper result. Any idea on how to fix this???

Wow... Thanks for that instant response Reza. It's actually not an issue. Your demo works perfectly well. It's just another scenario, where the look up column has similar choices and actually we need to filter not lookup on the choices. LookUp doesn't give the accurate results. Ofcourse I can iterate through the filtered choices, but it wouldn't be delegable. I wanted it to be Delegable filter on the Gallery

Reza… Consider the search text is “Complete”. Also consider the choice column has two choices “Completed” and “About to Complete“. Now, as the varProgress is set based on the LookUp function, it would only get the first matching choice value i.e. “Completed”. So, the gallery would not show the results for items with the progress status “About to Complete“. Filter might do the job in this case instead of LookUp. That’s just my initial thought so sharing it with you, but will think on this again.
You can use filter instead of lookup to get all such values. Then I did another video where I used Index technique which can be used here. You would need to have some limit defined for results returned in order to make it delegable. Here is that video ua-cam.com/video/Wr42PeW6_wU/v-deo.html

Video shows that searching in a text field will result in delegation warnings. For multi select fields, it would be a lot more complex + non delegable. I have another video lined up that will show using SharePoint search index in power apps that should cover all column types.

If Choice have Values which are start with Similar letters (example suppose choice filed have value like Window Color, Window Type etc) then search will always shows the first choice filed since we use Lookup ? i.e. If I search Window it will only show Window Color items not Window Type
I never understood why Microsoft didn't make the "in" operator delegable for a SharePoint data source. SharePoint has supported this functionality for many years using the "substringof" method.

Need here is that I select the order from screen 1 and screen 2 is supposed to show all order details(row count >2k) for that order. A filter here on the gallery for order details where order id in yields no rows as count>2k.

What forms? Which technology are these forms based on? If Power Apps - then can be shared with external users. External users would need invitation to your tenant + a license.
But this method onlyhides delegation warning. If we have more than 500 /2000 recors in our list, IN function in lookup will not be able to fetch records beyond limit. Is my understanding correct ?

I don't understand the search limit. Why does it only search for the word if the string begins with this word but not if its located on the end for example. it would be great if we could apply the same search experience as in SharePoint.

Depends on the function being called. Sql has a different set of delegable functions.

Yes, I did call it out in video (text on screen) which mentions that the lookup values or choice values must not exceed delegation limit.

Office365Users search user - you can try with those wordings and filter and see the results

Because EndsWith or Search are NOT delegable with SharePoint.
StartsWith is the only supported function.
