Onraet Rd...dah lebih 30 tahun tinggalkannya. Tapi bila lalu mesti toleh ke sana...tempat jatuh lagi dikenang, apatah lagi sekarang dah tinggal di luar negeri...I miss Onraet Rd...😢

Back in 2010, a buddy and I went there to "recce" . We were planning to get our other frens to come over for adventure like what you guys are doing. Upon reaching that guardhouse aje rase dah seram. Suasana dia gelap semacam, its like the light cannot penetrate through.
The same eerie feeling when reaching the dead end of Kampong Wak Hassan, 1 of the classrooms at Malay School at Tekong and OCH but the difference is that Onraet Road smack your face with its eerieness right in its entrance.
Then halfway jalan2 dah keluar my fren said "Man apesal kita jalan aku rasa macam tak sampai2. LOL".
Direction - block 4 kranji loop. Gantry near the main road, wak selat muslim cemetery will be just beside the gantry.

The best about onraet rd ni adalah pokok besar ditengah-tengah lorong.dulu time training duk kat quaters lama pernah jogging petang2 kat situ seram giler..baru pukul 5+ petang cuaca da kelam cam nak time magrib.
Try to find a buaian (swing ). Once you enter, you have to walk through one of the loop hole in the abandoned cemetery side. Becareful of the scattered tombstones. 🤙🏽

Near my late grandparents HAJI Hassan and HAJAH Maimunah old kampung lorong halwa (along P.I.E) entry by Onraet Road or by the back thru Mount Pleasant before they were offer HDB home in Toa Payoh Lorong 2 opposite the Toa Payoh bus interchange in the 80s. Even the old HDB flat (12 storey high) are no longer around as they were replaced by newer flats (40 storey high). Those are the days mate! Now im living in Australia. 👍👍👍

Onraet Rd aka Kampung Nekad used to be my kampung yg asal nya ramai org2 Jawa duduk & tinggal di kampung tu. Name Kampung Nekad tu hanya penduduk kampung situ je yang tahu. 😊
Nearest Hospital frm Onraet Rd was at Toa Payoh Hospital- I was born there & Hospital tu dh tak aaaaaade now😂
Back to this Onraet Rd, syg sekali .. kite smua kne di pindah kan ke tmpt lain dan tak silap area situ harus di kosong kan pada tahun 1983.

We used to jog there every morning @5am. Yes, its very eerie there. Whoever left behind fr jogging together, ur asking for it (see n hear)..haha. our bunk is nearby n yes many things happen there but since we're in uniform grp, we cant show how scared we're lah..(act macho sikit lah..haha)

Saya pernah tinggal di kawasan Whitley Rd….Sblah rumah, smua kubur2 cina. Sana smua kubur cina till Kawasan Onraet Rd.
Hi guys, try going to Jalan wak selat or kubur wak selat. Near gantry at the side. Kranji loop.
There used to be kampung wak selat where I used to visit between 1989 till it was demolished in the early 1990s.
At the back of the kampung, there are very2 old graveyards. Also, the location of a Malay movie entitled 'Pendekar Bujang Lapok" - where the 3 bujang lapok guys were on the boat at a jetty. Then pendekar Mustar was showing his silat skills. It's behind the kampung. The Javanese gamelan song on the background was from ex-husband's great grandfather's 'orchestra'. His great grandfather used to perform kuda kepang dance for weddings a very3 long time ago. He will place the wooden kuda kepang (a few of them) at the graveyard overnight and, collect them the next day before performance.
However, when his great grandfather died, his grandfather gave it away to a relative in Malaysia. He could not stand the 'disturbances' on some nights.
