Helloo diiddiii if you want to underline no problem underline it lightly with a pencil so there won't be hard pencil mark. You can also write it in a book or on sticky note and can safely secure it. In case of big paragraphs or smthg you can click photos and post it in Stories and add on highlights.

I also read books. I borrow mostly from my library cause books are too costly. I also get the urge to underline like you. I do this. I also started a new ig acnt called busyreading where I started writing about books I loved.
