There's a few additional things I didn't mention that could help: - Guardian Spirit works well, increasing the healing done to the boss for its duration by 40%, but there's a 1 minute cooldown on being able to apply it to the boss so use it when it counts. - The boss takes damage over time, so if you reduce the damage he's taking with pain supp or stuff like that it can help. Anything else I'm missing I haven't mentioned?
You briefly mentioned but didnt really elaborate on the fact that the buff from the portal provides you with high mana regen, so mana is not an issue for healers taking portals. Thus all healers should use a max throughput build and consumables (e.g. hpals should use glyphed seal of light instead of wisdom, SP flask, SP trinkets (ToC vendor trinket has on-demand SP effect), crit talent in Ret tree instead of dsac etc)
Glyph of Guardian Spirit. You can pretty much spam Guardian Spirit because it will always be on a 1 min cd, ofc you gotta keep it for when hero will be used.
The zombie death explosion also damages Valithria and applies the dot to her. It's not significant but ideally you don't want to kill them in close proximity to her. Also for hunters: If your pet is attacking the zombies as they die, it will be taking a lot of dmg so you're gonna be spamming mend pet often, especially since stuff like wild growth is gonna be prioritizing players instead of pets in icc patch. So be generous with aspect of the viper in between zombie spawns as you need a lot of mana for the kiting.
The Frostbolt Volley also drains mana, this is not a problem for the healers since they have the stacks but if a few get through all casters can't dps anymore
Wondering if maybe sending some casters into the portals to regen mana might be an idea for raids that don't max out on healers (due to comp, mainly, because otherwise why wouldn't you?).
@@andromidius have to be careful not to steal orbs from healers, can just fly with them. The orbs also give dmg buff. And the dmg the boss takes is based on the amount of orbs left inside the portal I think

Can you pet tank the debuff zombies with a voidwalker or felguard or bear or something instead of kiting? Dont care much if they get armor debuffs and they can always be rezzed easily.

Some hpals are messing with a sheath of light spec, deep ret. It's tough to evaluate from logs b/c so much of the fight is about whether you get the orbs. One person in the hpal discord was estimating sheath of light might come out 5% better than trad. holy, although by their admission it would be dependent on you not chaining crits at the end of the fight (which delays the sheath from going off, not a problem as long as theres a FOLLOWING portal phase, cause sheath will roll while you're in the air, but if you crit a bunch towards the END of the fight when you're doing the most healing sheath looks kind of sketchy). They also didn't account for Infusion of Light in that math, although few hpals will prolly understand how to correctly use it, and it's a small thing in trad. holy's favor. All in all, it's super close, and fight is really about hitting orbs. Is this tooltip right? Cause nothing's attacking Valithria so IDK what mark of blood would do. Places a Mark of Blood on an enemy for 15 sec. The enemy's damaging auto attacks will also heal their victim for 3% of the victim's maximum health.
@@nathanparker8555 Boss doesn't get autoattacked, only spells like Lay Waste do damage to it apart from the dot that she's taking because of heroic or whatever.

We'll be Triple Holy Priest this. Usually, I have two Shadow. Our Shaman and Druid (Druid helps) will raid heal. We did this in OG Wrath and it's busted, 60secs of +40% heals is kinda busted, don't remember it ever lasting more than 90secs.
@@OTPulse you keep commenting this everywhere, but isn't there a 1 minute CD for it being able to be applied to Val? Not talking about the cooldown for the ability itself, but a cooldown where it can't be applied to the boss again for 1 minute. Multiple holy priests won't do anything, just have 1 with the glyph for it
@trey4294 wasn't in original. Gives no debuff. And I've said this twice. But I stopped playing original ICC wrath early so it's possible they fixed it as it definitely was an exploit.
I wonder if its possible for a Mage to take the portal in order to get mana regen (for Arcane, mostly). I mean there's not much need for it - but I'm still curious. Might even be something a Boomie could do, then dropping some quick HoTs when they come out. Again, not really needed - just wondering if its mechanically possible for some potential shenanigans.
Why did your pally healer throw crusader on in the phased zone when they're collecting the red clouds? does it actually increase your "flying" speed in there?

on pservers Resotration shamans were doing wonders on this boss due to Ancestral Awakening talent, I wonder if it's as effective
you can also throw hand of sacrifice on the boss, can be helpful to blunt damage from lay waste if it goes off.

You are counting as a Vehicle so Speed Aura works and even aura Mastery with that
