I lack the talent to flower arrange, I am so glad you included how to make the most of different wreaths to make custom and fuller wreath! Love how brilliant you are
The double doors are fine the way they are you have a verity of shades of brown tones out on the porch so the doors are fine you did an amazing job and I think it looks gorgeous sis pause and enjoy your hard work 🥰
Hey beautiful love the stone work on your home 🏠 love how you did the bamboo on the cabinet so beautiful 😊 all came out stunning thank you so much for sharing have a wonderful week 💗🦋🌈💙💜💛🤎
So many wonderful projects and your deck came out beautifully. I would try to have both doors match. The front door is a great match for the stones on the house.
I want to get that product you put over uneven concrete & redo my inlaws for there 50 anni anniversary in 5yrs. There patio is small. Then I'd like to extend the patio with those plain square pavers, just so it meets the room they added on & looks normal. Your inspiring me.
Rosemary I love your videos so much that I'm watching this series even though I don't even have a porch or patio ❤❤❤ Your doing things in stages approach makes so much sense. Please redo that door to match the front one.
Hi Ellen! Thanks! So glad you are enjoying the videos and my adventures and misadventures in thrift flipping my house! Yes, I believe redoing the door to match the front one is the best option. I'd rather not have to strip the paint so I'm thinking give it more time to fully cure, then lightly sand, paint and glaze again. Wish me luck! 🤞😊❤️
Everything looks great Rosemary! That’s a good idea to check out Amazon for warehouse products! I like the idea to use fake greenery. I recently started with a fake boxwood wreath and change some add ons for seasons. I love the cobblestone finish on your house ❤ if that’s what its called TFS
Hi Rosemary, Leave the doors! They pull from the color of the stones on the house!... it looks great. I definitely need a refresh as well. I spray painted my cushions with car upholstery paint! Everyone on UA-cam recommended this if I didn't want to buy new. They are rather stiff, but look great and it's too hot the sit out there anywqy😂! I do want to paint the concrete. Thanks for great ideas
Hi vlrissolo! Thanks! So glad you liked the makeover! Car upholstery paint! I love it! Haven't heard of that. I will definitely have to check that out. Oh my goodness, cushions are so expensive to replace! They cost almost as much as buying a whole new set! As I mentioned, I always get big purchases like that end of season, however, for items like cushions, it can be really hard to get the size and color you want and also the amount you need. Plus, I'm noticing that seasonal stock is getting smaller and smaller. It seems like stores are not buying as large of a seasonal inventory (summer, fall, Christmas, etc) as in the past so end of season shopping has become less lucrative than it's been in the past.
Thanks! So glad you liked the makeover! OMG! I bet there are tons of Dark Walnut cans of spray paint just sitting on shelves! I bought 4 cans and was so mad because I bought from this little store out of town and couldn't return! BUT it is a great color when I did finally get to use!
I think the door should be re-painted in the same color as the other door, which is beautiful. I love all of the fake plants. Didn't think I would, but they look real.
Yes, I'm thinking that is the best option! I'm sold on the fake plants! Although I may now be turning into my grandmother's neighbor back from when I was a kid who not only planted fake flowers but watered them too! 😊❤️
Great job on the doors! Both look great but if you just can’t live with the how the patio doors turned out…try painting them black. I pretty much went down the same rabbit hole and was never quite satisfied. In all my years of redesigning/redecorating/refreshing my spaces faux finishes are the hardest to replicate especially if they are in the same space. Adding black to any space can instantly look next level IMHO. And it would give the beautiful wrought iron pieces something to relate to visually. Just a thought! Love all your videos Thank you for sharing!
Hi Kathy! Oh, I like that idea! A nice matte black would look so sharp and I can see what you mean regarding pulling in the wrought iron pieces. My challenge would be the renovations I plan to do on the house as a whole. I am hoping to have the front door wood shade on other parts of the exterior which will pull in several parts on the front of the house. For some dumb reason, I thought I could just wing the undercoat color. I was at the paint store for the porch paint and just picked a color and thought, yeah, this is close enough. Big Mistake! Now I know, that undercoat color is supremely important to get right!
1:27 I had plumbing issues in my basement and decided to just paint the cement laundry area. It turned out nice and i was like my floor has character 🤓
How did I not see you had a new video posted a couple days ago. UA-cam only showed one new video yesterday and it wasn’t for a channel I subscribe to. Oh well I had to get injections in my eyes yesterday so I couldn’t see it anyway… and yet they let me drive. I love the Boho look. The one that matches what was popular when we were young. When someone refers to tribal as Boho I wast to scream. The Amazon plants and flowers are gorgeous, but working with my plants are something I can still do. Besides, I’d rather water my plants than dust them. Tell ya’ what, let’s meet in the middle and have an ice cream sundae and discuss it.
What a wonderful porch look! If you cannot stand that jarring contrast between the 2 doors and the single, I lean towards a black lacquer look. But suit yourself! PS Did you capture whatever you did with that rattan end table? That really turned out nice, too!
All I can say is WOW!!! As far as the door - I'd redo the double doors to match the single door. Everything looks so wonderful I think matching would be the best! But that's just me. I just spent 1 1/2 hours on Amazon warehouse clearance for the page of hanging baskets you showed. It's either gone or I'm not doing it right.:(
Thanks! So glad you liked the makeover! Here are some links I found for current deals on the baskets. Just go to the links then scroll down along the right hand side and you will see "Save with Used" and the discounted options will be listed. One is $20 and one is $23 but keep checking if they don't have the colors you want. They change all the time since some get sold but then others get added. Plus I saw others with coupons like 20% off so that comes down pretty low too! 😊❤️ www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B7CZ6VCC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A127WXF779WPSR&th=1 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CDBY8WDS/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A127WXF779WPSR&th=1
Unfortunately, it is actually the undercoat that is the problem. That is what is giving the door finish that reddish, cedar like look. To get the warmer, more walnut tone, I'm going to have to change the undercoat. I'm thinking though, if I give the paint some time and let it fully cure, I could just lightly sand and repaint on top instead of completely stripping and repainting . Wish me luck! 🤞😊❤️
The drought has been so awful! For the last two years, I had the condensation from my AC going into a rain barrel to water from there, then water 2x a day just to keep them alive. For the couple of cold temps we get, moved them all in doors only to have them all die one night when temps unexpectedly dipped!! 😳😖😳
Why would you leave your live plants outside in the winter? I bring all my plants that I have on my covered patio in the summer, inside for the winter, and then back outside again in the warmer weather 🤷♀️
Because where I live in TX, winter is typically in the 70s. Every once in a while, we may get a dip in temps for a day ot two and I do take the plants in but the night they froze, there was not supposed to be that much of a dip. I think it was only for about an hour or so , but it was enough to kill all the plants!
Redo the doors just like the front door. Great job 👏 👍
👍😊❤️
Love the stonework of your house. Nice job and redo the French doors to match the front door
I love the porch, doors and thrifted DIY decor. Beautifully designed and a cozy area to relax. Great ideas Rosemary. ❤
Thanks! So glad you liked the makeover! 😊❤️
Awesome! Porch looks nice and cozy. Thanks for sharing, Rosemary ❤

Hi Wavy! Thanks! So glad you liked the makeover! Have a wonderful week! 😊❤️
Love the way your porch came out. I would get the window to match your door. The finish you did last year looks amazing
I like both doors! Love your style and videos
Thanks! So glad you liked the video and the doors! 😊❤️
same here, they both look great. so do all of her makeovers.
So many wonderful projects and your deck came out beautifully. I would try to have both doors match. The front door is a great match for the stones on the house.
Your home looks absolutely beautiful 💕
Your porch and patio are so inviting.
Thanks! So glad you liked the makeover!
❤looks so inviting cold l be invited to tea sometime have a great 👍 summer
Just love your videos. So practical. Such great ideas. I think make the doors like the front door, however; they do look nice the way they are. 😊
Hi Rosemary, thoroughly enjoy your ideas. Looking at the stone in your back porch, it would look fabulous with a German shmear texture.
Thank! I've seen that on Fixer Upper! 👍😊❤️
i think the back door looks great as is
Thanks! 👍😊❤️

What product is that? Is that the one they used to even out floors for tile work? Plans sound awesome! What a great gift!
Rosemary I love your videos so much that I'm watching this series even though I don't even have a porch or patio ❤❤❤ Your doing things in stages approach makes so much sense. Please redo that door to match the front one.

@@FABEDhacks yes it is a great color. I've used it once or twice but still need my BLACK! LOL
Temu has the BEST faux outdoor plants and flavors - UV-protected and something's always on sale or clearance.
👍😊❤️

Yes, I'm thinking that is the best option too! And as for the plants, I'm hooked! And so much easier to care for! 😊❤️

It looks like you have more browns on the patio, therefore I would re-do the double doors the same as the front door. Just my opinion 😊
Yes, I'm thinking that is probably the best option. 😊❤️
❤
Can you just mix a darker glaze and go over what you’ve already done in the same manner?

Texas is brutal! All plants except our trees which are mature, died. I feel you!
The drought has been so awful! For the last two years, I had the condensation from my AC going into a rain barrel to water from there, then water 2x a day just to keep them alive. Redo the doors. I am not OCD normally but both on the front porch would bother me.
LOL! 👍😊❤️
Redo the doors
