- This game and I definitely have a love hate kinda relationship. It's a great way to challenge your patience and persistence. I've played hundred of rounds by now and I get really good rounds going every now and then. I've probably played less than 10 pro tours ever in the game but that's really the best way to get your rating up... or down 😂

Thank you, Simon Lizotte, for validating every single thought and expletive I've ever thought and exclaimed while playing DGV (ID BoneRack). You need to use altitude to soften your landings on some of the tight holes. LOVE VLOGMAS!!!
It's so funny to see someone play the same holes I do, with completely differently discs and lines.
Also, I've felt every feel that Simon did too.

For the Lost Island island hole you hate--lay up to the left side with your musket and you have a 70 ft throw in for birdie. Much safer than trying to stick the island
Man, I wished you had updated your game before playing...the new 60FPS settings are a literal game changer and would have made the video quality here even better. Also, the new grail is the extra glide skip Rive...it bombs! Thanks for all you do man. I got into DGV after seeing your vlogmas last year and got addicted
How do I update it on my IPhone? I went through the settings and can’t find where to upgrade it.

@@thescramble4309 the App Store and then in settings. It should give you the option of changing fps from 30 to 45 and 60.

Simon, use roll discs to get them to stick to the ground. Really useful on approach shots like the hole at the end of R3 / start of R4. Enjoying Vlogmas!

This was so relatable - I’m not quite at your level at disc golf valley yet (neither at real disc golf…), and I struggle with the exact same holes/courses, and sometimes have a hard time trying not to freak out over unlucky bounces or nemesis holes that screw up my round 😂

@@rickwood6464 Looks like its available for PC via Steam, so you would have to have a VR ready PC and a headset, or know someone who does.
You really need an XXX in the bag. It's a crazy stable disc. Really handy on some holes.
Being noob the XXX accurate roll has been a lifesaver(&has even provided me an ace,& an eagle on a tough basket)

Simon, you can disable the hole previews in the settings... at least on the android version. As a new disc golfer, DGV is substantially easier than the real thing!

Remember, your weaker moments give much hope to all of us struggling with our games. This was a nice video to watch and now I feel even better that I had my best pro-tour performance and beat you by 4 strokes with -35 😁

I used to be addicted to this game back in the day before it was sponsored. Had the putting and that zone record for the longest time. Fun

Simon, you can go into Settings, then default tee shot and select backhand. Then you just switch sides manually when you need to throw a forehand.

Simon!! I love watching you make some of the same blunders as I make in this game!! You are so relatable but still very good at what you do. I learned a few things from you in this video as I'm still quite new to disc golf valley (and disc golf in general). I noticed you have trouble with a few holes that I actually am decent at. You should consider adding the xxx to your bag. It helps me a LOT. Keep making quality content.

I have one ballista pro extra glide big skip lol didn't even realize I had until Simon pointed out it was the holy grail. I have several regular ballistas with the same ext-glide big-skip

hole 2 and 3 of your third round are PERFECT for the TILT
I've had that exact same shot on your intro. The emotional roller coaster of hoping to cross the river, getting across, and then going OB in the mine. So painful.
Nice rating save, Simon! I've really come to rely on the River (EG/A) for a good number of holes and tight situations. I haven't bagged an Explorer since maybe L2 or 3 :)

The first hole round one: musket off the tee (it lands right at the end of the first fairway b4 on), then distance driver down, and then you're left with between a 100 ft throw in or a putt.
"I forgot to put sidearm!" ...That's happened to me so many times in this game. I feel for ya Simon.
Nice PT to be honest. Slight bag change and you will be slingin' them discs ;) and for me the worst hole is Frozen Valley 4. It can bring you a bunch of points :) greetings from Poland Simon!

On the island hole I've been playing it hyzer to the left side of the land and then making the 70' across. Seems easier than trying to stick the island :)

Get roll discs to help stick on the island. Before you can do that though, you can take the Pioneer and lay up short left, and leave yourself an 70-80 footer for birdie, or you can play for par from there. The safe route really isn't the Simon route LOL but hey

This game gets me every time. You think it would be predictable but it just isn't. It can be so frustrating haha

You should try discing down on some holes. I use mids when you use fairway and putters when you use mids a lot of the time.
That's why you are a champion. Super hard on yourself even in a game. But, that's what gets you victories!

I'd have to say holy grail is a glide/skip Rive now. I'm over lvl 140 and still don't have one. On another note, shot an 1182 today 😁🥏🥏🥏🇺🇸

I suck at DGV, but I do play a lot of Disc Golf Valley VR. I've been working with David Sallee (who you've played on DGV) to help keep the VR version interesting while we wait for the next update.

Round 3, hole 2: go with explorer high stall hyzer. Forehand if wind is left to right. Backhand if it’s right to left. Easy birdie and an ace is on the table.
You need to get a Roll disc for that island hole. You need something that will stick when it lands.
Nothing rolls like dg valley!
Almost single one of my tee shots on hole 8 at Lost Island has been winding up in that mine shaft....
I always forget to switch between sidearm and backhand in real life as well, it can ruin rounds. Great video as always
I’m surprised u don’t use a 3 speed putter, makes it a lot easier for those 57-64 footers that u can use the putt feature

I always forget to change it back to forehand of backhand because you are used to just throwing not changing settings ugh. So many times I should have won tournaments but that screwed me up
Hey Simon, you should try DGV on your computer if you haven't. It's so much better playing with your mouse instead of your fingertip. Hope you give it a shot!

Not sure if you knew this but if your disc has the roll ability then it is going to stop right when hits the ground
