In the 70's I competed in the show ring with my GSD. The ring next door was for Belgian Shepherd. It contained Taveran, long coated dark sable. Gronondale, black dog, and Malinois, The Gronodale was the most common. All were gentle livestock/herders. Thet were bred togther. Worst thing they did was to make them separate breeds. Meanwhile, GSDs were snapping at/biting judges AND winning. Then the hyena backed GSDs took over.
Malinois all the way........own 2......great with kids.......great for protection, it's like a loaded gun.....must work or play all the time, no off switch....
