Great video , as always!! We will be passing thru Ashland on the Autotrain for the first time coming up in January traveling back from Florida. Looking forward to the ride!
A little bit of everything! J. B Hunt, Fed X, UPS, and other freight. Nice collection of video shots. Passenger train, coal train, stack train, you capture it all. Turn off that TV, this is the place to be. Enjoyed watching!
@@JawTooth I Want to thank you for all your videos for this year of 2018. We burned through another year, haven't we? What exiting rail adventures will we see in the coming year? The rails are never quiet, keep the camera rolling.
Nice catch, JT! Two things I noticed. That IM train had no double stax, probably obstructions on that route prevented it, would be my guess. And there's a lot more graffiti on box cars and tank cars than there is on coal cars. Coal cars aren't left on unprotected sidings generally. That long coal train had just one car tagged that I saw. Interesting!!!
A few days ago it rained and then the temperatures dropped and everything wound up with a layer of ice on it. I had to scrape the ice off my wifes car for her and that sucked! Today it is really windy but not cold. The ice and snow melted. Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth thank you for the response. I actually saw the left hand Arrow while it was blinking after I posted this. But thank you anyway I appreciate it
Nice video Brian.Nice to see a single stack train. They must have some low clearance places along the route. Thanks for the video.

Flyerbob 1 I know why because the containers are small

I use to go to Ashland with my grandfather. Further down is CSX ACCA rail yard. This use to be Richmond, Fredricksburg, and Potomac (RF&P)
I love Amtrak trains

Love it bro
my 2 favorites Jaw Tooth and Millenniumforce
I LIKE THIS VIDEO, EXCELENT,
I heard that metal flopping sound when that Amtrak train stopped I thought they was dumping the comodes on Milleniumforce when it went by him...lol
I found one of csx’s first railroad spike laying out on the side of the road under the Csx railroad trestle
Awesome Zach!
That camera is the virtual Railfan
Is it colder than snot outside over there in the Buckeye with the wind blowing snow all over the place like it is here..lol
A few days ago it rained and then the temperatures dropped and everything wound up with a layer of ice on it. I had to scrape the ice off my wifes car for her and that sucked! Today it is really windy but not cold. The ice and snow melted. Thanks for watching!

Jaw Tooth merry Christmas! I’ll probably be around railfanning Cincinnati sometime after Christmas, we should hook up again!

Wow. No DPU on that 1st train with only 2 lead. They are running trains out of Philadelphia as long as that with at least 1 mid DPU.
Yea hey!
Nice video!
Ever thought about some video's of the "hump" near Bellevue Ohio? My late uncle used to take us there to watch them make a freight train..
Bruce Heffner that would be cool! I need to do that. Merry Christmas!
Dang Brian, that intermodal long enough to go around Indy track once plus LOL, who got priority on the main, Amtrak or Intermodal???
It's actually Virginia NOT Kentucky, but still a great video as always. You can also watch this area on live Webcam through Virtual Railfan on UA-cam.
I just now noticed that. I don't know how I got the state wrong. Thanks for noticing and letting me know so I can correct it!
What is the blinking light on top of the railroad crossing for?
That warns people who are wanting to make a left hand turn across the railroad tracks. It is telling them to stop
@@JawTooth thank you for the response. I actually saw the left hand Arrow while it was blinking after I posted this. But thank you anyway I appreciate it
Still think you or Millenium or both should ought to come down to Manchester GA and check out CSX there
How come that second freight train didn't blow his whistle at that crossing?
Did you know coal trains are the shortest fraight train because the car is so small
The Amtrak train looks like Via Rail
The description say Ashland, Kentucky
I'm from Antioch California
I was there today
It sounded like the amtrak train couple broke
I meant to say it but thx
