- As a response to someone asking for tutorial. I have got qy70 for 1 day now so this is only thing I managed to do in terms of connectivity. Don't thumb me down this is not an edited full tutorial I just added it after reading someone's post 10 min ago. Ta

Thanks so much for your Clarifying a question I had in mind.. regarding the possibility of Connecting an external Synthesizer...in my Case it will be my New Roland Jupiter XM.....How did you get the TV Screen (Monitor) to display the Sequencing Content?.... Are you going to Do any Follow up Demo Videos.... concerning Sequencing Songs(Tracks) ? I like your Style of Presentation......
@@arienone9701 hi there .I am not planning on creating any further content really. I just touched on the common issues I couldn't find solution online .I have had to figure it myself so thought it'll help people in my shoes .
Not sure what content on PC, it's just DAW receiving sounds from synths.

Hey mate, do you know how to save patterns and songs on the qy70?
Where did you get the drum kits for the virus c? How did you go up to bank G???
i do not remember to be honest, most likely from access website where they hold on to some third party patches
when you import patches you can choose where to put them via midi ox
@@MrVangassen thanks anyway. I heard they were supposed to be in the machine on factory reset but I guess mine is borked.
@@TheOfficialOxygenfad I have gathered decent amount of soundsets and kept swapping them across the years i doubt these sounds were there by default. new viruses were sold with demo song which was locking bank G and H as far as I remember. you could remove it by flashing the soundset to these banks man.
Perhaps I'm mistaken and tis is a factory sound then you need to factory reset it must allow you factory reset man.
try midiox or buy - Access VirusHC AudioUnit and VST Editor / Librarian -from Mystery Islands Music ( for me too expensive I use OX)
can you use the buttons on the QY70 to play chords (and voicings) out to your external synth?
Yes you can. The arrangements works via midi out as well.

So is this how I can use the patterns on qy70 to sequence apps on iPad? I’ve been trying figure out how can use the qy70 patterns to sequence iPad apps
Don't own the iPad but general midi works the same on all hard and soft synths. This should do whatever app can receive.
My guess is :but the relevant midi cable for iPads, in app go to settings of a track/instrument, set the midi channel, go to Yamaha and play the key on the same channel.
If you ask whether your iPad can receive multiple tracks spread across multiple apps simultaneously, I don't know because again... I don't own an iPad :)
I got it working as midi controller but like can't figure out how to have the iPad play the qy70 sequences if that makes sense like the factory sequences have them play in iPad

I think you'd be netter off using the midi through on the virus rather than using a dodgy splitter.
geecen worry not, have several synths and mindburner 7thru as well. Splitter does the job as good as midi thru box

Hey there im struggelin massivly with setting my qy up with my keystep pro.
I finally found the omni mode option on the qy but its just not innovative enough.
I still can hear on all of my 4 tracks on the keystep the sounds of the qy!
If anyone knows a simple soloution would be awesome!

I don't have keystep but whatever settings you have there search for one assigning keysteontrack to chosen midi channel.
Keystep is a sequencer arpegiator itself so I am not sure what kind of set up you are trying to create. Is it notes or sync you are interested in ?
@@MrVangassen it would just be nice to use the qy more intuitivly and record on the go and stuff
So i think its notes then.
But it just seemes super complicated.
Also asked some forums but it just seems like a hustle an no one is using it like this...
@@yannicportmann2698 I doubt it's the sequencer to match modern set ups "on the go" but if you have external keyboard notes coming to midi in you will record them notes. You should be able to sync to keystep.?
