If they are going for a rebrand, they did themselves and their fans a great disservice by being so elusive and abrupt in cutting their TwoSet brand. Whoever is managing their PR has made a disaster of a transition if that is what is truly going on. People will say they don’t owe us anything, true, but the reverse is true also. Fans who feel abandoned/ghosted may be unwilling to trust them again.
Agreed about the disservice. They could transition a bit better:) particularly having a team behind them, partnerships, etc. Let's see, because maybe we don't know something that will make their line of thought clearer in the future.
Well, they did an April Fools. Perhaps it was TwoSet’s beginning of the end, as a funny YT duo who can play violin, getting better as the years went on. Vids of 4 years stayed after the end. But their TwoSet Talks remain, the last of which is Bach. The academy is one direction, we don’t know what else. Changing goals/evolving as people mature, is natural.
11 Years Is a long time to do YT. We should all be grateful they shared part of themselves and their lives and music with us all. God only knows (and a few officials should one or both of them gotten married, have children or decided they are ready for a new project such as their TSV Academy. Godspeed Two set Violin!
Thank you so much for uploading this video and gathering the relevent evidence into one place. This is the video I’ve been looking for ever since they made their anouncement. It covers the biggest, most popular and plausible theories and an analysis on whether evidence supports or refutes the claim. I’ve been thinking that the rebrand theory makes the most sense, but maybe there is some kind of legal feud or contract that prevents them from revealing all the information, although it doesn’t explain why they privated so many of their videos. Amazing video and definitely deserves more traction.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I totally agree-there could be a mix of rebranding and contractual obligations at play here. It makes sense given the circumstances! Please consider subscribing if you haven't done so already. That's the best encouragement😊. Thanks!
This is definitely helpful to note! My only thing is that if twoset is actually stopping, I would want at least a goodbye video, but if they are coming back and literally can’t say who they are doing stuff with and all that I understand. Other than that, I am very sad about twoset randomly leaving 😭😭😭
This is a really good video; i'm suprised it doesn't have more views! I agree with the other commenter that this abrupt shutdown is very detrimental. Do they owe fans anything? No; however if they want the support of fans in the future at any point, they've bitten the hand that feeds them so to speak. I think that it will have to take a sincere apology and concrete reassurance to get even some of that support back.
Thank you for the compliment!yes, we spent A LOT of time creating this video! If you inclined so, please subscribe, if you haven't done so already. It will help us in the long run! I agree Tsv does this transition in a weird way. I think they had to do a much better job! Thank you for your support!
14:23 they appeared a lot more on social media. They were in several storys of their friends. For example on a Party or just having dinner or streetfood with friends. I thougt - if they had medical issues or other personal problems they would not have shown up in public like that - relaxed and laughing.
As much as I would love to know why, they don't need to give an explanation. I think it comes down to a new chapter in life. Their B²TSM video kind of validated that I would guess they want to focus on music and other projects. I'm very grateful for all the knowledge and laughs I got from them and I hope the best to them.
@@ClassicalMusicNews I've read many comments on various sites. Do you think the strategy of upsetting their countless young fans who look up to them as role models, "dads", parasocial friends, teachers, etc, was a wise one? Many of these kids sound as if they feel abandoned. I think this re-branding, which you so strongly hint at, could not have been done in a more hostile way to young, vulnerable people. In other words, a PR disaster.
@tamjg, I actually agree with you! They could handle it better, having a team and all of that... I know from comments to my videos that many fans are upset and frustrated. I think they are mishandling the transition a bit. It had to be done better.
In all those tons of disappointment comments in either YT, or Insta, I read somewhere, that both of them has been seen in HK, in happy mood, 2 weeks ago. So, let's see
That's very much possible. As the video suggests, I think they are rebranding with one of the big companies, as Ray Chen mentioned as a possibility. They should be good.
The talk at HKU was on 29 September. Their radio silence for nearly 6 weeks despite the thousands of greiving comments , means they aren't coming back. Otherwise, they would respond somewhere, somehow.
Thank you for the date clarification! Well, I think there is some kind of contractual obligation on their part to keep silence until the announcement of the next venture. Do you think it can be a possibility? Let's see...
Hopefully, we will hear from them directly soon. It would be so ridiculous to retire and not to capitalize on what they have built so far. Ray Chen's comments are important here. They told him, I am sure, and asked him to post on Tonic what to expect...
Thank you! Can you supplement your like with a subscribe? 😊🙏That would help us a lot in the long run. Thank you for watching and commenting. We are happy you like the content!
You're most welcome! Thank you for watching and commenting. I think it depends on the complexity of the next undertaking: from a couple of months to half a year, I guess.
Thanks for the insight! I would say whatever.. I'm gonna say my final judgement on them when they finally talk about it. To decide you gonna hate or condone their action even when you don't even know their situation is just kinda weird, not enuf reason. It's not like they did commit a crime or something... feeling disappointed is fine, me feel the same way. Still, life goes on and we'll see them when we see them.
Like others have said, if they are just rebranding, there is no good reason why they can’t just have said that straight out. There are other channels that have done as much. Or why they removed their videos, no reason for it. And if they didn’t at first somehow realize that fans would feel abandoned by their decision and lack of details, I’m sure they know about it by now. Why not make an update statement on social media? So there can only be 2 conclusions: A. some legal reason why they can’t give us an update regarding their next plans (but to counter this argument, they could still come out and say “hey guys, we’re still alive, we acknowledge your feelings, stay tuned, we got news coming !” or B. they just don’t care about their fans (as some other users have suggested), regardless of what their next plans are.
It's certainly a possibility. The big question here is why would they remove so much content. It is a source of income, after all. Close their apparel collection - another source of income. Why they would leave Tsv Academy running and there are some rumors they travel and appear publicly in good mood. What do you think?

Yes, that's what other fans reported as well. It is unlikely they have health issues...

Now I'm convinced you're their PR channel.
I wish it would be true😅

Btw, don't take it personally. Along with many other fans, I'm not happy with the way they chose to do this.

Aaaaand they’re back

that's what I thought too

@ClassicalMusicNews No. Can't imagine a contractual term which will obviously create a lose lose lose situation.
