Nice tutorial. A tutorial on Layout creation for mmic from scratch would be very helpful. However, I disagree a bit that RFPro is unmatched in industry as we also have AWR which has a pretty good AXIEM EM simulator and can even handle parametrics.
Thanks for your feedback Kapil. Doing MMIC tutorial in my to do list and hope to have it some time in near future. Also, regarding your comment about RFPro....once you start using it and explore more you will understand why it is unmatched by any other EM tool available...😊 Be safe and keeping learning....👍
Hi Anurag, Thank you so much for these valuable tutorials. Please can you do a tutorial on how to make the MMIC Layout from scratch using the Schematic? Also if you have materials that can help with this, kindly share with me.
Hello Anurag, all these tutorials are really helpful. If it is possible, could you please do a session on odb++ user defined simulation in RFPro and that can be compared with ideal components and with modelithics.
Hi Geethu, That should be pretty straightforward. You just need to repeat steps I showed in User Defined section in this video. Once you have layout and proper stack up definition, it is all ADS database then it doesn't matter whether you got the design from import process or created natively in ADS. RFPro simulation setup process will be same.
@@BhargavaAnurag Hi Anurag, thank you for the reply. I tried that, but the simulation time takes like 30 minutes, so i stopped it. So, I think i made mistake in assigning ports, its position in pcb layer and the shape. I also had doubts in mesh density, changing the component role etc, i mean how to identify all these.
Extremely well presented. Just completed watching the series of 3 videos. RFPro looks very promising, specially the selective EM simulation and its overall ease. For EM Tuning/Optimization, will the sub-circuit part under result (in .snp block) have parameters for a parameterized layout?
Hi, Sir Anurag, All these tutorials are excellent, it must be a great effort, Thank you. Please sir Could you post video about High Power Amplifier design, i mean SSPA (Solid Sate Power Amplifier) based on GaN HEMT active device. i need a tutorial for a (distributed HPA + Combiner output power) design. Actually, i have fulfill for one (active device HPA) design, i have understand the concept. however, i have a difficulties how to establish a design when we have a parallel active devices (GaN HEMT). Kind regards,
Hi Karim, I will cover PA design step in one of the future tutorials but not to the level you mentioned. Beyond a point, you might need help from proper trainer or consultant to solve your specific problem
Sir i am using GaN pdk for designing my mmic. I am confused on how to apply ports in layout which can differ which port is for RF signal and which for Vdc e.g drain biasing of FET. KIndly share your opinion on this topic. Regards
@@BhargavaAnurag Sir thank you for kind response. I am happy to hear that my doubt was wrong, I did the same thing but dont know whether it works or not because the error is still on the line.

Hi Amol, There is nothing in this example file. if you want to try it out then you can look for MMIC example in the examples directory and there are many MMIC demo example pretty similar to the one I used for the video.

Thank you, Anurag. Your tutorials are excellent which are helping us a lot.
Glad to hear that

Hi Rijubrata,
Parametric EM capability is not yet there in RFPro currently but it will be there soon.

Hi Ali,
There is no difference in how you apply ports whether it is for RF Signal or for DC feed points so no need to be confused....😊
