Your book arrived and have to say it is wonderful. Haven't had a chance to make anything from it yet but hopefully will soon. So many other projects to finish before Christmas, then I can make something from your book. Hubby is going to cut out the shapes I need since I can't afford to ship yours to Australia.

Hi there these are TRADITIONALLY called dream catchers and these are inspired art pieces by Native American indigenous culture l. These are very sacred pieces of our religion and though the teachings vary; I was taught that the circle represents the circle of life and the webbing is representing the web of a spider that is supposed to catch bad dreams. The beads placed inside the webbing could represent the spider or the water beads a spider web would catch and it was said that it caught bad dreams. ❤️🥲 traditionally these dream catchers are hung over cribs/beds. Authentic dream catchers are made by indigenous mothers. And these are usually made for babies and traditionally made of red willow or branches that are shaped in a circle.
The webbing is traditionally made of sinew or horse hair but now days is made with thread or string. These are made smaller but none the less still beautiful! :)
I’d suggest looking more into the culture and the dreamcatcher. Its very beautiful and we have a lot more beautiful traditional art like paintings, beading, our regalia is a work of art in itself. 💕 peace and love 💗☮️😊

people have been talking to her on instagram for ages about the culture she takes her work from and she just removes their comments and blocks people (including me) for trying to talk to her on not basing her entire business on Native culture.
