Watts/kg only matter going uphill raw power is way more relevant on flat terrain. Please call Guillaume again and challenge him to a flat terrain race. I am confident you will win. The difference in power between you two is significant enough for you to smoke him on the flat.
Nice job man!! I am around 126kg and will race you up that segment sometime if you like. I think it would be a little more on the fair side man as I can push a decent bit of power when I dig in deep. Would need to be on a weekend probably cause I am in the US so we got some hours between us haha. Awesome video per usual though.
Doing some actual Zwift races really motivated me to get better, both in smarts and in strength. They're most often around 30-40 minutes and with tiers based on W/KG. If you (the person reading this, not just Benji) were ever on the fence about trying it, just do it!
Great effort Benji and Guillaume. To play Guillaume’s advocate here, at the end you said he finished despite you putting out more power, however, he did put out a higher W/KG and that’s what ultimately matters. Nonetheless, superb effort and an entertaining painface 😂
I went from 115kg to 92kg and the difference climbing is great. Even though is not that much, I felt it in a 23,4 km and 4% climb into the Andes Mountains, with 12-16% segments. Keep it going Benji 💪🏻
For a better comparison what a 50kg weight difference on Zwift makes. Yesterday i a did a Zwift C-cat triple loops race which is 41km and has 544m of climbing. An exactly 50kg lighter rider finished in 1:11:29 with on average 166W (3.8W/kg) and I finished in 1:11:31 with on average 290W (3.1W/kg). That's a 75% power difference.
Gotta do the intermediate build me up. I can’t tell you how much weight changes everything in your body. You’re hot because you have a layer of insulation. I’ve been 110kg before and I’ve been 95kg. Your body is so much more functional when you don’t have that extra fat. You can do it!
Bro what, the dude doesn’t train at all, he literally said twice in the last 500 days. Also I can probably do like 120 watt average for 30 minutes and I’m not super fit but I exercise everyday and I’d say I’m about average fitness wise (also I don’t train cycling very much). For me it’s 1.5w/kg so I’d say Guillaume is super fit for someone who doesn’t train at all
Benji you don’t look 110kg. And Guillaume at 60? Sure doesn’t look like a 110 pound difference. Must be the camera. Keep it up and get down to 90kg. That would be a huge difference.
It's unfortunately actually slightly above 110 in this video, but 110 sounded better in the title. 😂 I'm fortunate that I don't look my weight, but unfortunately my scales disagree. Guillaume's Zwift setting is 60, which is his estimate of his weight. I think you don't see the difference because in the talking parts, Guillaume's on a bike while I'm standing up, and I'm quite a bit taller.
@@BenjiNaesenTV I’m sure the weight will come down. How do you like Remco’s start to the season? Cattaneo does a ton of work and I’m looking for Landa to have some stellar performances this year. Not every day, but he often has a couple extraordinary performances in support of leaders.
Check out Guillaume's first Zwift race! ua-cam.com/video/6iKVmkIMpP8/v-deo.html
Benji's pain face is undefeated 🥴
I have only one pain face. Painal
Benji clearly held back. His head wasn't even tilted.
Babe wake up a new Zwift video just dropped
Man's name is quite literally Wattier, born to be a cyclist. Or a lithium battery
You know, 6:23 on GC is a lot, but don't you worry, now you'll maybe be allowed to sneak into some breakaway or something 😆
At least Benji knows how to properly operate a PCM sprint train. Sadly it doesn't help on Zwift.
That's uncalled for but I absolutely agree
THE COLD EDIT ON GUILLAUME WAS GOLD
NIce sustained Watts output, well done Benji!

Another nice video Benji! I'm new to Zwift racing too and find your channel really motivating! Keep the videos coming!
Benjis faces are always worth a watch ;-)
Great video Benji. Fun edit style and a beast of a climb. 💪

Guillaume already was showered when Benji reached the top.

The outcome was inevitable but cracking effort Benji.
Well done Benji that a blimp in any direction esp when you do the four horsemen route.

My pain age will start at 12-13°C, and in 60 minutes it will be 20-21°C. Must have a fan!
That is some serious suffering my friend.
NICE watts output Benji!
What do you think of IndieVelo? You’d probably appreciate the race dynamics a lot more!
Was Guillaume's trainer properly calibrated? 152 watts for 30 minutes is well below

all i saw was PR, great effort B!
Reverse KOM is much harder for the bigger rider than the forward KOM with lower gradients.. I guess Guillaume won the route choice :)
Way to fight Benji you crushed it
06:00 is it crying of happiness?
You should have included the downhill too
I can't find this route anywhere. It is said to be somewhere in Watopia
I did a U-turn on some route to get to it.
No fan - bad idea, just warmup well and turn it then. No fan it's like -15% of performance
Compare Hard on this effort!
Abort abort 😂😂😂😂 that would be me….awesome guys
All about the watts per kg
Talking while climbing can be considered as trash talking.
I even started singing but it's not in the final edit :(
@@GuillaumeW 👍🤣
The big guy can put some watts out to be fair. 💪🏼

110kg? How?
Check out the podcast with peak torque. Benji goes quite in depth on his weight there.
Zwift is fake and not even climbing hust resistance change 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Fun challenge and great edit 😂
