I would've thought they were cool if I were their classmate
I think they just rub him in a wrong way... some doesn't like noisy and loud people They think they're weird and crying for attention. that kind of situation always happens to me, I act like Jack minus the running naked thing... so maybe your teacher and the ATL guys doesn't run in the same circle his always one of those people thinking "what a jerk" but doesn't make a move to get to know them better :)
