I think that the principle of current conduction in molecular systems is explained very well but in my opinion there is one thing that should be corrected. Correct me if I am wrong but HOMO and LUMO are molecular orbitals, not atomic orbitals. She explained this on the model of atom which is not 100% correct.
Yes, you're right. I imagine she took some liberties with her terminology to help the audience understand. As an aside, the "gravity" concept for the exciton recombination is also inaccurate, but it's clear this talk was not designed for scientists so I think it's OK (and maybe even necessary?) that she took these liberties. I think the concept of electrostatics is pretty arcane for most people with minimal scientific training and gravity is a bit more tangible and familiar.
