I boil water when I clean - for mopping and bathrooms. I hang sheets and my clothes on an umbrella clothesline- everything smells outdoor fresh. I am a quilter and I have to get done daily chores done in the morning before I can sit and sew. Fridays is my splurge day on sweets and if I want to stay in lounge clothes-still sew or whatever. I did this when I worked and still do now that I’m retired 😊

Hi, love the clean with me! My favorite chore is laundry, least favorite bathrooms especially the toilets.
I dislike dusting. I love listening to music while cleaning or by putting a seasonal screensaver on the TV with jazz music for the background sound or anything nature/outdoor sounds. I enjoy going outside and walking 30 min. and play with my boys (German Shepherds) and or fill my bird feeders. I enjoy using the Windex Vinegar spray to clean my granite countertops in the bathroom. I know that Rain-x which is wax that you put on a car works good for shower doors like once a month it repels water really good. To relax I usually watch a couple of my favorite u-tubers, in the spring and summers, love to sit on the porch and watch the birds and look at the flowers. Love the spring and so excited for it to get here! My favorite season everything is anew❤

I’m a solo Housecleaner and have a few clients I clean for my least favorite to clean is my master bathroom shower because it’s large, my favorite thing to clean is my kitchen and vacuuming my wood floors and mopping them 😊

My least favorite cleaning chore? Cleaning in general, lol! I would much rather be outside in the garden. Of course, I do clean because I love when the house is clean and smells fresh. ;) I really hate vacuuming. If I can get Mr. Ethereal to do it, then I am much happier. On another note, I figured out why I love your kitchen so much: the sunlight streaming in the big windows, plus it is laid out exactly like my last kitchen in California. We had a pantry where your refrigerator is but the two were side-by side, more or less, with a set of cabinets in between with a small counter there. Out our kitchen window, we also had a pool built and it was off to the right a bit going back into a hill with a slide and waterfall coming out of the spa. Like our current house but I still miss that house...
Of all the products you've shared, I went and bought your velvet curtains for our primary bedroom and spare bedroom last year. Sure stays a lot warmer in those two rooms now, thank you!! The chore I like the most is cleaning our dining room table and then decorating for a post. Could be a "tea" set-up or just a centerpiece, but that's probably my favorite thing to clean. And yes I will watch a video or something after a good cleaning. Today, after three hours outdoors raking up old acorns, leftover leaves and cleaning off the last of the leaves on our roses, I am watching your video and others! 💕 Have a great week!

One thing that motivates me to want to clean, is cleansers with amazing scents! I have tons of different cleaning sprays because I love to change them up . My one favorite was the Rose scent from Love Home and Planet . (I actually discovered it on your channel) (I have been watching you for quite some time)❤As you know ,They discontinued it and I can’t understand why, it was literally one of the best scentsI I have ever used . So disappointing 🤷🏻♀️

Love a cast iron skillet...I oil mine like it says to keep it lasting then return it to a warm oven so the oil can soak into the iron and dry.

Also, I highly recommend the O'Cedar Easy Wring Rinse Clean mop.. Its basically a upgraded version to the one you have in your video.. But it has 2 tanks one for the clean water and one for the dirty water, which means even cleaner floors and who doesn't love that! Woulda included this with my first mile long comment but hadn't made it that far in the video yet☺ (I also keep 2 separate mop heads one for the kitchen and one for the bathroom to prevent cross contamination)

Just discovered your channel and subscribed its right up my ally! My absolute least favorite thing to do is wash dishes, I have only ever lived with a dishwasher once in my life in my first apartment ages ago and never had a dish washer since.. So hand washing ID rather clean anything else! My favorite thing to clean is my bathroom.. Its on the smaller side so doesn't take long and the one room I can remain focused long enough to get it all the way done and I love the transformation I get when its done. I usually just put music on to clean it puts me in good spirits Considering I have manic cleaning episodes and tend to get overwhelmed with certain tasks which result in not finishing. My tride and true cleaning product I've used for years is Lysol Multi-Purpose cleaner in Citrus Sparkle Zest scent.. Its so versatile I even spray it all over my carpet before vacuuming to sanitize, My alternative for a more natural ingredients product is the Method Antibac All-Purpose Cleaner in Bamboo scent same affect but less harsh and chemicaly and a newly discovered product is the Scrub Daddy Power Paste it comes with its own sponge and removed permanent marker off my daughters bedroom walls. One of my hacks is for clothe headboards and such instead of pulling out a vacuum everytime to suck up dust get a lint roller they're cheap and just as affective, use it just like you would on your clothes rolling it over the fabric and it picks up the dust! Not that I can recall that I've ever found a hidden gem per say.. But have found duplicates of items that I had purchased thinking I didn't already have it. To end it off I like to just sit and bask in the cleanliness especially if its a area I actually finished I'll just stare at it so proud of myself for seeing it all the way through!

Thank you for sharing some cleaning tips. Your home looks like it should be shared in a magazine. 🥰 As far as the white film left on your dishes after they are dishwasher clean could be many things… the detergent you are using, or depending on the age of your dishwasher it may need a deep cleaning on the inside at the bottom under the drain. There are many you tube videos on how to clean your dishwasher, or it could be the water. I know NV has some of the hardest water, so if you don’t already have one, I would highly recommend getting a water softener installed. We have one by Kinetico Water Systems that works great and does not run off of electricity. Look up their system up online. It will explain how it works. If you already have a water softener system, then make sure it is clean and in good running condition and that it has enough salt pellets to keep the water from calcification. 😊 Hope this helps. Also I have one more tip… when cleaning cast iron pans. Never use soap or abrasive cleansers. Only hot, hot water and coarse salt. Sprinkle the “coarse” salt in the pan then add a bit of hot water in the pan and scrub with a hard bristle brush. (The type of brush with natural bristles works best) Then thoroughly rinse in hot water. After the pan is completely clean, then it is important to throughly dry and season your pan for the next time. You can dry it by hand with a low lint type kitchen towel or place the pan in the oven on the lowest heat for a few minutes til dry or place on the stove on low heat again for a few minutes til dry. Be extra careful to use pot holders to handle the hot pan if you are removing it right away after it has dried in the oven or stove top. After the pan is clean and completely dry then add a very small amount of extra virgin olive to pan to coat it. If you want, you can use a small silicone basting brush to coat the pan. Wipe any excess and your pan is seasoned and ready for the next use and this process will keep your iron pan(s) looking their best for yrs to come and keep them from rusting 😊

Clean out the filter in the bottom of dishwasher. It gets really gross and may be causing the buildup. Plus it will make your dishwasher run better and last longer
I actually injoy doing laundry! My least favorite task is cleaning the kitchen. I try to clean while I'm cooking.
My husband was the opposite. He was a great cook. The kitchen however was a disaster when he finished. He passed away 10 years ago. I miss him and his great meals.

Regarding your dishwasher, from what I've read if you rinse your dishes clean before putting in the dishwasher, or use too much detergent for the load, you can get that white film. The detergent is formulated to work on food particles.

Question 1. I listen to Classic Rock or Queen primarily when cleaning- it gets me going!
Question 2. It sounds weird, but I use my homemade cleaning solution- Citrus Vinegar- every time we use lemons (almost daily), I throw the peels only in a gallon jar and when the jar is half full, I pour white cleaning vinegar in to about 2” below the opening, screw on the lid and let sit for about 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, I strain it into another large jar, then fill a spray bottle with the solution and it cleans and disinfects and degreases just about everything g with a nice lemon scent- it makes me happy and it’s CHEAP! Any citrus peels work- lemon, orange or grapefruit- the oils from the citrus peels is the degreaser and the vinegar has strong anti-viral and antibacterial properties and the solution can be used on everything- from wood to glass to stainless steel to porcelain sinks and tubs. And my routine household “self-care” is also watering and propagating my houseplants and herbs.
Question 3. I put clean sheets on our bed and put out clean pajamas and use a homemade linen spray all over my bed, curtains and rug- nothing better than clean, crisp sheets and pj’s and a relaxing smelling room at the end of the day!
Question 4. I found my late parents wedding album in the guest room closet when I did a deep and declutter clean- I was looking for that album for about a year and couldn’t remember where I had stored it!
Question 5. I shower, do all the girly stuff while showering. Then after dressing, I get my favorite drink, usually hot or cold tea, a handful of nuts and whichever book I have been reading, put on relaxing music on low volume for background noise, and curl up in my corner of the couch and read for an hour or so before doing something else- I am not one to sit for long, I always have to do something but I space it out with cleaning, cooking, baking, finances with quiet periods in between.
Question 6. Refer to question 2 and just using homemade cleaning products using peroxide, white vinegar, borax, fels naptha bars and Dr. Bonners Unscented Castile soap and essential oils- all non-toxic but cleans well. Though, I do swear by Original Dawn and Dawn Powerwash for pots and pans and for my floors- really dissolves grease and dirts. I avoid things like Pine Sol and other heavy duty cleaning solutions as the chemicals in them are toxic to pets and we love our 2 Labs and cat! And I do not burn candles due to most have a lot of chemicals in them I am allergic to.
There is nothing better than a clean and fresh smelling home!

My least favorite chore is vacuuming the stairs. My favorite is cleaning my countertops with a cleaner that smells amazing. I'm using Ms Meyers Rose at the moment. After housework, my go-to is an ice coffee.

The O'Cedar mop reuses the water that gets dirty over and over to clean your floors. I use Libmans divided bucket so one side rinse water and the other for Murphys Oil for my wood floors. About finding a hidden gem while cleaning! I have a dog that used to get into everything as a puppy, so we had a storage container full off what we deemed “contraband” that we wanted to make sure he stayed away from. A few years go by and the contraband box was forgotten in storage. I start running out of underwear that is in one piece for several reasons, and I keep postponing a shopping trip for them. Then one day while we were decluttering the storage to make more room, we find the box! And can you guess what was in the box? A fresh four pack of underwear that my dog had tried to steal years ago! Thankfully they still fit me, so I now have new underwear 😂

I don't fold laundry anymore except mine because I would go to all the trouble to fold everything and then it got dumped either on the floor of their room or left in the basket and got messed up. So everyone has a basket with their name on it and it's their responsibility if they want it folded and put away. The only ones that get help are the 2-5 yr olds and they are the ones that help put it away 😂

My least favorite chore in the home is Bathrooms, No I do not have a play list, I enjoy older music, 60, 70’s dance music preferable so I can move through cleaning. Cleaning hack again I enjoy opening up the house and playing music that makes me want to dance. It helps to keep going and not really worry about the cleaning part. I love to relax with a hot cup of tea (chai, or Lemon) with a book. No I have never found a hidden Jem while cleaning I have found a few items when I have hide them and could not find them when I needed them at the time. (Gift cards, movie tickets). Most likely I will read or watch You tube. My must have is the wood cleaner from target it smells like almond and I think it does a great job on the wood. (Method).
That wood cleaner is one of my favorite scents as well!!! So good! Music motivates me to clean the same way as you🥰

What kind of tablets are you using? I had to change mine. Was doing the same thing when I tried the Cascade Platinum to Platinum Plus, the Plus left a film on all my dishes & the Platinum had never done that my dishes were always crystal clear. So I changed back to just the platinum. Not sure this is the case in your situation but thought I’d share In case
